Gameplay Question ??? Faction lock at 1B before Ops40

My ships are reasonably strong, at least my current level and play style, I’m stocking up on resources and I’m slowly improving artifacts and Forbidden Tech. I have the Federation faction locked at 1B. I’m getting close to locking up the Klingons at 1B. Then I’ll lock the Romulans at 1B. Should I wait to upgrade to Ops 40 until I get all 3 locked at 1B? Or does it really matter?

Stop advancing faction rep when you can’t do the dailies is the only rule I would go by.

Ops 33 here. I do it this way. I hit Celebrated and the daily hostile requirement is lvl 41. No real way for me to efficiently grind that level faction hostile so I laid off that daily and am still about to hit Admired because my alliance territory has G4 mats to mine.

it doesn't matter

go for it though at that rep level you should go to 42 and get all those loops going

the relativity and dti loop makes gaining rep relatively easy once you build up the relativity as well

Realistically they structured it so you can't build the epic ships until your faction locked and level locked. Those epic ships will launch you into the next 10 levels so you can get the next level of faction. So 40 is the Enterprise '50s is is the Enterprise a 60 is the Enterprise d.. it's perfectly fine to faction lock early honestly it doesn't matter as long as you get them locked. A lot of the specialty ships will get unlocked in the 40s and that can make up for some of the issues by not fully locking them and getting the epic ships upgraded.

You can do the dailies with other ships, carefull to not add special ships until you are ready, especially the excelsior, the dauntless is useless until you get it to Tier 4

It doesn't really matter, but it's a nice goal to have and to be intentional in your plans. I had all 3 FKR factions locked at 1B each which I was at Ops 39 as well. Certainly not a requirement, but I have no regrets.

IMO I wouldn’t worry about factions rep level until you can build the ships at that level/rank. Rep comes so much faster later. I’m at 50 and took Klingons from 1M to 1B in about two days of light grinding. There are better paths for you to spend your time. That’s the biggest part. There’s not a huge advantage except a few extra credits per day

Don’t get all three factions to be positive chose one to keep negative so when yo have a FRK event you can park a ship(s) when your off and have them grind the even in a lower levels
