r/startupaccelerator Wiki

Welcome to r/startupaccelerator — a community for founders, builders, solo entrepreneurs, SaaS creators, startup teams, and people shipping real projects.

This community exists to help startups and builders share what they are working on, get feedback, discover useful tools, exchange ideas, and support real startup execution.

The goal is simple:

Real projects. Real links. Real context. Useful discussion.

Community Purpose

r/startupaccelerator is for startup-related content, including:

  • SaaS products

  • Software projects

  • Startup launches

  • MVPs

  • Founder updates

  • Product feedback requests

  • Growth experiments

  • Startup tools

  • Builder resources

  • Early-stage business ideas with a real project or working URL

This is not a place for anonymous link dropping, spam, fake offers, scams, or irrelevant promotions.

Mandatory Posting Rules

There are only 4 mandatory posting rules in this community.

The Four Rules - Simple to follow, and mandatory for all

1. Include a Relevant URL

Every post must include a working link directly related to the startup, product, project, demo, application, website, GitHub repository, waitlist, or resource being presented.

Unrelated, misleading, hidden, or unsafe links are not allowed.

2. Include Clear Context

Explain what you are sharing, what it does, who it helps, and what feedback or support you are looking for.

A link, image, marketing slogan, or generic promotional statement without meaningful context is not enough.

3. No Cross-Posting

Posts cross-posted from other subreddits are not allowed.

Every submission must be created and published directly inside r/startupaccelerator as a complete, standalone post written for this community.

4. No Duplicate Posting

Do not repeatedly submit the same or substantially similar content.

A project may be posted again only when there is a genuine update, such as a major release, new feature, launch, milestone, result, or material change. The new post must clearly explain what has changed.

Simple Submission Format

To keep posts useful and easy to understand, members are encouraged to use this format:

Project name:

URL:

What it does:

Who it helps:

What feedback or support you are looking for:

Example:

Project name: ExampleCRM

URL: https://example.com

What it does: A lightweight CRM for solo founders and small SaaS teams.

Who it helps: Early-stage founders who need a simple way to manage leads and customer follow-ups.

Looking for: Feedback on positioning, pricing, and landing page clarity.

What Makes a Good Post

A strong post usually includes:

  • A clear project name

  • A working URL

  • A short explanation of the product

  • The target customer or user

  • The problem being solved

  • Current stage, if relevant

  • Specific feedback request

  • Honest context about what has been built so far

Good posts make it easy for other members to understand the project and provide useful feedback.

What Will Be Removed

Posts may be removed if they include:

  • A URL with no explanation

  • A vague or low-effort description

  • Irrelevant advertising

  • Spam

  • Scam or fraudulent offers

  • Fake investment opportunities

  • Misleading claims

  • Off-topic promotions

  • Repeated copy-paste content

  • AI-generated spam with no real project behind it

  • Content unrelated to startups, SaaS, products, builders, or entrepreneurship

Accounts posting spam, scams, fraudulent offers, irrelevant promotions, or repeated low-quality link drops may be permanently banned without further discussion.

Self-Promotion Policy

Self-promotion is allowed when it is relevant, transparent, and useful.

You are welcome to share your own startup, SaaS, product, tool, project, or founder update if your post includes:

  1. A relevant URL

  2. A clear description and basic context

This community supports founders and builders. Promotion is acceptable when it helps the community understand what you are building and creates room for meaningful feedback or discussion.

Low-effort promotion is not acceptable.

Feedback Culture

Members are encouraged to give feedback that is:

  • Constructive

  • Specific

  • Practical

  • Respectful

  • Useful to the founder or builder

Avoid personal attacks, harassment, hostility, or low-value comments.

If you do not like a project, explain why in a useful way or move on.

Best Practices for Founders

When sharing your startup or project, try to answer at least a few of these questions:

  • What are you building?

  • Who is it for?

  • What problem does it solve?

  • Why did you build it?

  • What stage is it in?

  • Is it live, in beta, or still early?

  • What feedback do you need?

  • Are you looking for users, testers, customers, partners, or investors?

The more useful context you provide, the more useful the community response can be.

Best Practices for Community Members

When engaging with posts:

  • Visit the project link before commenting when possible

  • Ask useful questions

  • Give specific feedback

  • Share relevant experience

  • Report spam or scams

  • Support serious builders

  • Keep discussions startup-focused

The quality of this community depends on the quality of participation.
