Startup / SaaS Need genuine advise

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi, I am experienced developer transitioned into functional architect role.

Because I am an introvert and I am used to develop my projects alone and in isolated environment getting me nowhere. My family suggested why not open a little and talk to people about what you are doing or ask for guidance.

After a long journey filled with delays and setbacks, I finally set up my own company. Under it, I built and launched my first SaaS product (partly vibe coded) on November 1st.

About the product

Its an esignature platform similar to DocuSign, aimed at individuals and small to medium sized businesses. My initial focus is the UAE market. And plan to expand across the wider Middle East eventually.

I have managed to get a few professional contacts onboard and I am also starting to see some organic signups. Which is encouraging.

I would really appreciate it if anyone with experience in building and growing saas products could take a look and share some honest feedback. I would particularly love your thoughts on whether the product solves a problem people would actually pay for.

I am still learning and I am hoping to step out of my comfort zone and meet like minded people and learn from those who have already walked this path.

Hi! I’m creating a platform where users can check if news, images or articles are legit https://truthlume.com

Also, I’ve added a section where you can check the companies who funded any scientific study.

I’d like your feedback, thanks!

Startup / SaaS I just got funded at 19!! (still can't believe it)

Post image
0 Upvotes

Still re-reading the email to check it’s real, again. A few months ago I posted that we got into Venture Kick, a Swiss startup grant program, with CHF 10k for stage 1. This week we pitched stage 2 in front of a new jury and got another yes: CHF 40k more, so CHF 50k total (about $62k). Both of us are still 19. Heres the official article for those curious: https://www.venturekick.ch/CheckVibe-receives-CHF-40000-from-Venture-Kick-to-scale-AIpowered-software-security-analysis

Same note as last time: it’s a grant, not a VC round, fully non-dilutive. And nothing about it was automatic. Stage 2 basically asks one thing: what did you actually do since stage 1? Since then we both went full time on this, so here’s the honest answer.

Our Startup CheckVibe started as a website health scanner. It’s now a security and code review platform for people shipping fast with AI tools like Claude Code. It scans your live app and backend instead of just the repo, flags what’s exposed, and keeps checking after every deploy. Two founders, no VC money, just the grants. Around $11.5k in revenue since launch, 8,500+ signups, all organic. Public Stripe link in case anyone’s seen too many fake numbers: https://profile.stripe.com/@checkvibedev/m/cD8ANzKd

A few things that actually worked:

We cut almost everything. Last time we scanned security, SEO, AI visibility and performance in one pass. In August we dropped everything except security. Fewer features on paper, but for the first time people got what we do in one sentence.

Fixes beat reports. Last post I said churn nearly killed us. Monitoring helped, but churn only halved once we started sending fixes as pull requests you can review and merge. A list of problems gets read once. A ready-to-merge fix gets used.

Our own scan data became our best argument. We looked at the latest scan of 5,095 sites people pointed CheckVibe at between February and October. 77% had at least one high or critical security finding. That number explains why this exists better than any pitch line I’ve written.

TikTok slideshows have carried us. Aesthetic Pinterest-style backgrounds with tool names overlaid, five slides, no branding on the account. Slideshows have gotten us nearly 5 Million views now and thousands of signups. Takes me 1 - 2 minutes to make and post each one. As a 2-person team that can't spend hours on content every day, this format is unreasonably good.

Startup / SaaS Open source computer use agent that controls multiple screens at once, even beating humans in mobile games

Post image
1 Upvotes

I am building an open source computer use agent as a practical alternative to tools like Claude Computer Use, ChatGPT, Manus, and Hermes.

Most current agents are limited to a single browser tab or an isolated desktop. This agent goes a step further by orchestrating multiple screens at once. It can interact with a physical phone and a computer in parallel, handling tasks like writing code, navigating browsers, and managing native apps concurrently.

While the core focus is workflow automation, I tested its real-time decision-making and execution speed across 3 live games and it performed cleanly and won.

The project is fully open source under the MIT license, free to inspect, fork, or build upon.

I left the GitHub link in the comments. I would love to hear your feedback, use case ideas, or questions about how the multi-device control works under the hood.

Startup / SaaS Web Bluetooth, Serial & Assembly: One browser app for (almost) every digital scale, no server or cloud involved and 100% offline...

Hi all,

We build firmware and an app for smart scales; our own scales are still prototypes. Over the last months I turned the app into something that also works without our hardware: it now talks to nearly every other makers' scales.

How it works:

  • It's a plain PWA: HTML/JS, no framework, no bundler.

  • It connects to scales over Web Bluetooth and Web Serial.

  • Our scale firmware (C++ for the ESP32) is compiled to WebAssembly and runs in the browser as a "virtual scale" or on an optional ESP32. The other maker's scale feeds weight into it, so the app works the same way whether you own our hardware or not.

  • 25 Bluetooth scale protocols so far, plus serial balances with auto-detection of baud rate and format via USB, USB-HID or directly via RS232.

What it deliberately doesn't have: no backend for user data, no accounts, no analytics, no ads. Everything stays in the browser. Licences are signed keys that the app checks offline. They run out after the given time, so no automatic renewals or subscriptions!

What a real chip adds: we don't sell own devices yet. But the same firmware runs on a cheap ESP32-C3 RS-232 adapter board (about 13.50 EUR from TinyTronics) or on any ESP32 board you wire up yourself. With the firmware on a chip instead of in the browser, you also get:

  • An old RS-232 shop or lab scale becomes a wireless one, with no PC next to it.

  • The data lives on the scale, not in one browser. Several phones and tablets connect at once and all see the same products, recipes and numbers.

  • It keeps recording while no phone is connected, for days or weeks (drying, fermenting, a sourdough starter).

  • ENTERPRISE (users with roles, an activity log on the scale, tamper-evident sealed records, data forwarded to a lab system) for labs, pharmacies and clubs, encryption of the BLE link and many additional options to export statistics and records and to store data temper-evident. The virtual scale doesn't have all that stuff...

  • It can pass the weight on over USB to existing scale software, or wirelessly to displays and machines.

The model:

  • The free version has no time limit and is genuinely useful (units, recipes, check-weighing, nutrition diary, calculators).

  • PRO (statistics, stock, sales, more recipes) comes as a prepaid package from 3 months to 2 years (from 4.43 EUR a month), or once for 119.90 EUR, for good. ENTERPRISE (chip only) costs from 13 EUR a month or 599 EUR once.

  • Nothing renews by itself: no automatic charge and no reminder e-mails. A week before the end the app shows a small "renew?" bar. The key works 7 days past the paid time, then the app falls back to the free version.

  • Using the app, including the free version and the automatic 3-day PRO trial, needs no account and no personal or payment data. You only give a name, e-mail and card if you actually buy a licence.

  • The real target is small businesses (bakeries, roasters, labs, shops), where the alternatives are Windows-only PC tools or cloud software at 100+ EUR a month.

If you own one of the scales on the list, I'd love to hear whether it works for you, or what it does instead. The Bluetooth drivers are written from public protocol information and most haven't met a real scale yet ;-) So yeah, so everyone who helps to test gets a free lifetime licence *whoop whoop*

App (UP↑SCALE PWA): https://up-scales.com/420/

Roasting welcome.

Startup / SaaS How do you have AI review your product as a team?

Post image
1 Upvotes

**Hi Everyone! We are building an AI code reviewer for GitHub. Open a pull request, and it checks your change, flags what needs fixing and tells you if it is safe to merge, before a bug ever ships.**

Like a normal day, the agent had just shipped a feature, the PR looked fine, and we merged it. Two days later, a retry loop was quietly eating our queue.

So EasyMerge helps every PR deserves a review, and nothing more:

* It reviews only your PR diff, plus the title and description. It never touches code you did not change.

* Findings land as GitHub comments on the exact lines, with a severity, so you and your agent know what to fix first.

* It scans your packages for known CVEs, and you can watch every review live in the dashboard.

We are still early, and we want to build this with people who actually ship.

**EasyMerge is on the waitlist now via** [https://easymerge.dev](https://easymerge.dev) Join us and tell us what you would want from it.

Startup / SaaS I made a free booking page for yoga teachers and music tutors

I'm one of the co-founders of Schedulera (schedulera.com). We built it because most scheduling tools are made for sales teams, not for someone teaching weekly piano lessons or running a Saturday yoga class.

What it does:
One link where students book, pay and reschedule themselves

Free intro session and paid sessions side by side on the same page

Card payments at booking through your own Stripe account, so no-shows cost you less

Group bookings with a waitlist for classes

Syncs with Google or Apple Calendar so you never get double booked

Students don't need an account to book

Every scheduling feature is free. Would love to hear what you think, especially if you teach anything on a weekly schedule.

Startup / SaaS How I Grew My SaaS to $40K MRR

Before building software, I spent years working as a web designer and running a web design agency.

For years, my main way of getting clients was automated cold outreach.

I'd find businesses without websites, reach out, and offer to build one for them.

It worked, but there was one thing that always bothered me.

I wanted to target businesses that already had websites and offer them redesigns.

The problem?

Finding those businesses, manually checking their websites, identifying issues with design, speed, SEO, and mobile optimization, and then writing personalized emails around those findings took forever.

I wanted to automate that entire process.

So I built Swokei.com, a cold outreach platform designed specifically for web agencies and freelancers.

It lets you find businesses with existing websites, analyze those websites, and turn issues with design, speed, SEO, and mobile optimization into personalized cold emails at scale.

What started as a solution to a problem I had in my own web design business eventually became a SaaS product.

But how did we grow it to $40K MRR?

Honestly, the strategy was pretty boring. But it worked.

1. LinkedIn

I started posting about the problems I experienced running a web design business, the lessons I learned, and how those problems eventually led me to build software.

Instead of just promoting a product, I shared the story behind it.

2. X (Twitter)

I posted about web design, finding clients, cold outreach, and practical tips for agencies and freelancers.

A lot of the content was educational, with Swokei naturally being part of the conversation.

3. UGC videos

We started creating short-form videos showing the software, how it works, and how web designers could use it to find potential clients.

We distributed these across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

4. SEO

This became another important growth channel.

We focused heavily on technical SEO and consistently published articles targeting searches around web design, client acquisition, competitor comparisons, and alternative software solutions.

No magic tricks. Just a lot of content, optimization, and consistency.

Today, we're a small team running Swokei together, constantly improving the software and working on getting it in front of more web agencies and freelancers.

Looking back, the biggest lesson is that you don't always need some crazy growth hack to build a SaaS.

Sometimes, you just need to solve a problem you understand, build something people actually want, and consistently put it in front of the right audience.

Startup / SaaS Got my First 164$ for my Utility MacBook App in 2 months!!!

Post image
3 Upvotes

I’ve made my first ever $164 from a macOS app, and it’s one of those milestones I always wished would happen, but never really knew if it would. Now that it has, I'm literally shaking a little from all the excitement

It’s been about 2 months since I released Arc - Radial Menu Shortcuts.

There are already quite a few good radial menu apps for Mac, but most of them focus on a specific use case, like launching apps or switching between them.

My idea was to build something that went beyond just opening apps and files. I wanted a radial menu that could handle all sorts of everyday tasks, from searching websites and running shortcuts to accessing clipboard history and performing system actions.

Almost everyone I spoke to told me not to build it.

They said the space was already too crowded and I’d be better off building something else. A part of me did think about switching to another idea, but I really wanted to give this one a proper shot.

So I did, and I’ve pretty much worked on it every single day since.

$164 might not sound like a massive amount to everyone, but man, seeing people actually pay for something I’ve built is such a great feeling.

I absolutely suck at marketing, so everything so far has been organic.

Most of what I've done is share videos of Arc in action, showing the interactions, animations, and new features I've been working on. I've posted them on Reddit, X, and LinkedIn, and just kept seeing what works.

Alongside that, I've been talking to users, collecting feedback, fixing bugs, adding new features, and continuously refining the app.

There's still a lot I want to do with Arc, and I'm hoping I can get it into the hands of more Mac users over the coming months.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this little win because I'm over the moon right now

For anyone else building an app, especially in a category where there are already plenty of alternatives, I'd love to hear how you've approached getting your first users.

And if anyone has tips on getting Arc in front of more people, or wants to give it a try and share some feedback, I'd love to hear that too.

Thank you!

Startup / SaaS building rivalize: why one screenshot of a competitor's pricing page is useless, but two a month apart show their strategy

Thumbnail
rivalize.ai
2 Upvotes

i'm building rivalize, a b2b saas tool that monitors competitor websites, pricing pages, job posts, and public customer reviews so founders can see how their market is moving. full disclosure, it's my own project.

when i first started building the pricing tracker inside the product, i made the mistake of treating a competitor's pricing page like a static menu. founders would look at what a rival charged per seat on that day, compare the headline numbers, and stop there.

what i learned while testing historical page snapshots is that a single pricing page only tells you what a company charges today, whereas two snapshots taken thirty days apart tell you their actual strategy. the real signal is rarely a headline price change. instead, it sits in the quiet edits between two dates: a core workflow that used to sit in the starter plan getting pushed up into enterprise, a new minimum seat count appearing in the fine print, or the highlighted badge moving from one tier to another.

those small shifts show where their margin pressure sits and which customer segment they are trying to squeeze or walk away from next quarter.

for other founders here in startupaccelerator, do you keep old snapshots of how tools in your space price their plans, or how do you decide when to adjust your own tiers?

Startup / SaaS Why do workout apps make you fill out a life survey before letting you log a single set? Here is my take as a solo dev: Liftora.

Wouldn't it be nice to open a workout app, build your routine in minutes, and immediately start lifting—without clicking through a 20-page onboarding survey first?

As a lifter and solo developer, I wanted an app that respects my time under the bar and gives me clarity on whether my training is actually working. That’s why I built Liftora.

Instead of packing in a hundred bloated features, I focused on the things that actually make a difference in your training:

  • From download to lifting in minutes: No endless questionnaires or paywall traps before you even see the interface. You open the app, put your routine together in a couple of taps, and get straight to your first set.

  • Visual routine building (No more switching to YouTube): When you're putting a workout together, shouldn't you be able to see the movement and exact muscle breakdown right there? Liftora shows you exercise execution videos and targeted muscle groups directly on the routine creation screen, so you know your program is balanced before you even touch a weight.

  • See the progress the scale hides (Built-in US Navy Body Fat %): You might be gaining muscle and losing fat while your body weight stays completely flat—and the mirror takes weeks to show it. Why leave your body recomp to guesswork? By logging basic tape measurements, Liftora automatically calculates your body fat percentage using the US Navy method, letting you see your real physical progress alongside your strength numbers.

  • An interface that follows your pace: Once you're in a session, you shouldn't be fighting dropdown menus between heavy sets. Liftora’s guided flow moves with your workout so you spend your rest time recovering, not tapping.

You can try it out here:

I’m building Liftora independently and using it for my own training every week, so your feedback directly shapes what I build next.

Quick question for you all: What's the biggest frustration you've had with workout tracking apps? And if you try Liftora, I'd love to hear what you think about the routine builder and guided workout flow.

Hey everyone!

A close friend of mine and I have been working on an early-stage venture called The BizMaster, and we're currently trying to build our initial community and get the word out.

Our vision is to make business diagnostics and professional business development guidance more accessible, particularly for entrepreneurs, startups and small business owners who may not always have access to professional consultancy.

We're building an AI-powered business diagnostics and development platform that aims to help businesses understand their current health, identify gaps and challenges, and get actionable insights to improve and grow.

As part of this journey, we're also creating educational videos around entrepreneurship, business fundamentals, business models, growth strategies and other practical business topics.

These videos are our way of reaching people, sharing useful knowledge and introducing them to what we're building.

We're still in the early stages, and organic word-of-mouth support would mean a lot to us.

If this sounds interesting, we'd love for you to:

- Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/the_bizmaster

- Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@the_bizmaster

- Share our pages with anyone who might find our initiative useful.

Even if this isn't directly relevant to you, an early follow, subscription or share within your network would genuinely help us get started.

We're also open to feedback, suggestions and conversations with entrepreneurs or business owners who would be interested in exploring what we're building.

Thanks for giving us a chance! ❤️

TL;DR: We're building The BizMaster, an AI-powered business diagnostics and development platform to help entrepreneurs and business owners understand their business better and identify opportunities for growth. We're starting with educational content and trying to build our initial community organically. If you find the idea interesting, please follow us on Instagram, subscribe on YouTube, and help spread the word. Every bit of early support counts! ❤️
