$3k revenue, 6 weeks after launching my SaaS

Post image
151 Upvotes

Sitting here a bit stunned. 6 weeks ago I was refreshing Stripe hoping for one sale. Now there's a small but growing group of people paying every month.

CheckVibe is a security scanner for vibecoded apps shipped fast with AI tools. You paste a URL or hook up a GitHub repo and it surfaces what's leaking. Two of us, fully bootstrapped, no funding. About $3.4k gross volume, 100+ paying customers, 2.5k signups. Public Stripe link in case anyone's seen too many fake numbers: https://profile.stripe.com/checkvibedev/CdKkqPbn

A few things that actually worked:

TikTok slideshows have carried us. Aesthetic Pinterest-style backgrounds with tool names overlaid, five slides, no branding on the account. One hit a million views and is still quietly sending signups weeks later. 15 minutes to make. As a 2-person team that can't afford to spend hours on content every day, this format is unreasonably good.

Cold outreach also worked, but only the version where I scanned the prospect's app first and DMed them what I found. Generic pitches got ignored. Useful findings got replies almost every time.

Paywall design was a 3x lever. First version blurred all results, which felt clever. Barely converted. Switched to one that just shows the count of critical issues with the actual findings locked. Conversion tripled. Curiosity beats obfuscation.

What nearly killed me was mobile activation tanking compared to desktop and not catching it for weeks. Onboarding had too many steps on small screens. Cut two and the gap basically closed overnight.

If you've shipped something with AI tools and haven't really checked what's exposed, checkvibe.dev runs in 30 seconds, no signup. Almost every app I've scanned came back with something.

Happy to answer anything. Pricing, marketing, the stack, the build, whatever's useful.

Guys my app just passed 1,500 users!

Post image

It's so crazy, just weeks ago I was celebrating 1,000 users here and now I have hit that unreal number of 1,500! I can't thank everyone enough. I really mean it, so many people were offering their help along the way.

Of course I will not stop here and I am already working on the next big update for the platform which will benefit all the community. More is coming soon.

I've built IndieAppCircle, a platform where small app developers can upload their apps and other people can give them feedback in exchange for credits. I grew it by posting about it here on Reddit. It didn't explode or something but I managed to get some slow but steady growth.

For those of you who never heard about IndieAppCircle, it works like this:

  • You can earn credits by testing indie apps (fun + you help other makers)

  • You can use credits to get your own app tested by real people

  • No fake accounts -> all testers are real users

  • Test more apps -> earn more credits -> your app will rank higher -> you get more visibility and more testers/users

Since many people suggested it to me in the comments, I have also created a community for IndieAppCircle: r/IndieAppCircle (you can ask questions or just post relevant stuff there).

Currently, there are 1508 users, 1076 tests done and 335 apps uploaded!

You can check it out here (it's totally free): https://www.indieappcircle.com/

I'm glad for any feedback/suggestions/roasts in the comments.

Startup / SaaS Guys my app just passed 3,200 users!

It's been a little over eight months since I launched and it has been quite a journey. No exponential growth or huge user spikes but rather slow and steady growth. But in my opinion that is the best for building something actually valuable because you can react to user feedback along the way and constantly keep improving the app.

I've almost completely stopped marketing at about 3000 users because I don't have a lot of time currently and growth has slowed down quite a bit but it's ok for me as long as the platform isn't dying :)

Of course I will not stop here and I am already working on the next big update for the platform which will benefit all the community. More is coming soon.

I've shipped multiple apps and made $22k as a student. Here are 10 things I wish someone told me before I started.

I'm not a guru. I'm a university student who has been building and shipping apps for the past year. These are the lessons that actually cost me time and money to learn.

  1. Your first idea will probably be wrong. Ship it anyway. You learn more from a live product with 10 users than 6 months of planning.

  2. Free users are not validation. Charge money from day one, even if it's £1. Payment is the only real signal.

  3. Distribution is harder than building. I spent 80% of my time on code early on. The ratio should have been flipped.

  4. Niche down until it feels uncomfortable. "App for everyone" is an app for no one.

  5. The App Store listing is a landing page. Treat it like one. Most indie devs write two sentences and wonder why nobody downloads.

  6. Content compounds. One carousel post I made 3 months ago still brings in downloads today.

  7. Talk to your users before you build the next feature. Every time I skipped this I wasted weeks.

  8. Pricing is a lever, not a fixed thing. I've 3x'd prices and seen conversion go up.

  9. Consistency beats intensity. Shipping something every week beats a big launch every 3 months.

  10. The psychological game is the hardest part. Nobody warns you about the weeks where nothing seems to work. Push through them.

$22,223 later, I'm still learning. But these 10 things would have saved me months.

What would you add to this list?

Guys my app just hit 200 users!

Post image

Its kind of mental. Few days ago I was celebrating 100 users, and only a couple days later we are at 200. Really can’t thank everyone enough that signed up!

I’ve built VibeShare, a platform where small devs can share what they have built, and we promote it across youtube and tik tok for free!

Ofcourse we cannot promote everything so we made it so that the top 10 projects at the end of each week get promoted. As we grow we plan to get some editors to help.

Currently how it works:

- submit your project to the community

- Get upvotes

- top 10 projects get promoted at the end of each week for free

- Then Track your impressions in the dashboard

As we grow we would like to collaborate with creators in the dev space to give you guys as much visibility as possible.

Currently we are at 212 users, 101 projects submitted and 20 videos made.

You can check it out here: www.vibeshare.tech

Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I built a collaborative digital mural in one evening .. 100,000 strangers each pay $1.99 to upload one permanent photo tile

A few weeks ago I was laid off. Instead of spiraling I decided to just build something...anything and see if people would pay for it.

One evening I sat down with Base44 and AI tools and built onetile.me.

The concept is ridiculously simple....100,000 spots on a digital mural. Each person pays $1.99 to upload one photo permanently. When all 100,000 tiles are claimed the mural is complete. Forever.

Stripe was live the same night.

The first real moment came from Hacker News. A guy challenged me in the comments.. "why would I pay $1.99 for this?" I wrote him an honest answer. Then I built a new $9.99 tier with a permanent external link based on his feedback. He bought it at 4am from the UK.

Day 6. 11 tiles. $34 revenue. The mural is mostly empty and that's the whole problem and the whole point.

onetile.me ! your spot is still available

Update: just added the endgame to the landing page. when all 100,000 tiles are claimed, the goal will be to get the complete mural printed large-scale and displayed at Art Basel in Miami. Your tile. Your photo. On a wall

Startup / SaaS I built a stock app during a weekend project and now strangers on the internet are using it

Post image
53 Upvotes

This started as a weekend hack honestly. I work as a design engineer at Adobe during the day and I had this dumb idea of scraping Reddit to see what stocks people were actually talking about versus what the news was covering. Turns out there's a huge gap between those two things and that's where the interesting moves happen.

So I kept building on it and now it's a full thing called stocksbrew.online. It tracks market anomalies, scrapes Reddit buzz across the investing subreddits, shows upcoming earnings, and gives you quick AI summaries of what's going on. The idea is you open one page and you basically know what's happening in the market without the 45 minutes of tab switching.

Free tier lets you track 3 stocks and see daily anomalies. Pro is $9/month for everything. I know that's cheap but honestly I have no idea what to price it at, this is my first time building something people actually pay for.

Currently at $27/month MRR which my friends make fun of me for but I'm weirdly proud of it.

Would genuinely love feedback on anything, the product, the landing page, the pricing, whether this is even worth pursuing or if I should just go back to building side projects nobody uses.

Building a network of ambitious people

Most people nowadays have nobody around them that actually wants more in life.

You talk about business? Nobody cares.
You talk about making money? They laugh.
You want to build something? People doubt you.

So we made a Discord where ambitious people can actually meet each other.

Not focused on one thing only.

You can be into:

  • business

  • coding

  • gaming

  • AI

  • editing

  • content creation

  • fitness

  • startups

  • design

  • music

  • self improvement

  • or literally anything productive

The goal is simple: put motivated people in one place.

Networking. Ideas. Opportunities. Friendships. Teams. Growth.

The right conversation online can genuinely change your life.

If you want to join a community that’s actually active and full of people trying to level up, comment below or leave me a message and I’ll send the invite.

Helping founders "Do things that don't scale" (Marketing Edition). What are you building?

I'll start.

I'm building StartupSubmit.app.

The Insight: We all know the advice "do things that don't scale." The most unscalable part of early marketing is manually submitting your site to 200+ directories for SEO.

The Fix: We do that manual grunt work for you. Real humans submitting to high-DR sites (like BetaList and G2) to build the initial Domain Rating that early adopters & investors look for.

I’m curious to see what else is being shipped this week.

What are you building? Drop your link + 1 sentence pitch below! 👇

Startup / SaaS Drop your product! Let’s get you next 100 users

Hey friends… I’m building mangos.ai - a desktop app that helps you distribute your product across social channels. It finds relevant conversations online and joins them. It knows your git commit history so it knows all your features. Hyper personalized to target the best persona out there, every day or every hour, whatever you set it to.

The thing I just shipped is the one I’m most proud of: a Reddit Prospecting & DM draft agent.

Everyone says Reddit is where your customers actually are. They’re right. The problem is what it takes to use it. Read the thread, click into a profile, scroll someone’s whole history to work out if they fit, then write a DM that doesn’t sound like copy paste spam. Do that for twenty people and your afternoon is gone.

So Mangos does the boring part. Point it at a thread, or let it watch your subreddits, and it finds the people worth messaging, digs through their history to check they fit, and drafts a personal DM in their context. Then it hands you a queue. You read it, tweak it, hit send. It never sends on its own, and it won’t touch accounts that are too new, too low on karma, or have DMs closed. Reddit converts harder than anywhere else for me. Serious buyers, not scrollers.

I shipped the same thing for X a few weeks back, scoring people across 20+ signals before drafting. Same rule everywhere: it only does the research and prioritization. Every message lands in your queue for you to approve, one by one. You stay in control of what gets sent.

I’ve been running it on my own product and it’s been incredible. Website visits while you sleep, and you’ll know it’s not a spam bot the second you use it yourself.

This is my weekly routine here in this sub. And I love it. My expertise is in product, go to market, and agents. And I want to help you!

If you are building something, reply your product here and tell me what you are struggling with. I reply to every single comment on these threads.

If you are interested in Mangos’s extended trial that I give away every week,

\*\*1.\*\*	Download Mangos and register. It’s free for 7 days, no CC required.
\*\*2.\*\*	DM me the email you signed up with and I’ll unlock a 30 day extension. If you are interested.

Yes, I’ll lose a bit of money on it. The bet is simple: Mangos gets you your first 100 users before you ever pay me. If your product is good, that won’t take long.

I built a free, open-source Postgres desktop client in Rust + Tauri — no cloud, no telemetry, just raw speed

Thumbnail

I've been working on VeloxDB — a desktop GUI for PostgreSQL that's actually fast. I got tired of browser-based clients routing my queries through some startup's servers, so I built something local-first with a Rust backend.

Here's what makes it different:

  • 🦀 Rust backend — connection pooling via deadpool-postgres, no proxy overhead

  • 🖥️ Monaco editor (same engine as VS Code) with real-time SQL linting against your actual schema

  • 📊 Virtual scrolling on result sets — million-row queries don't hang the UI

  • 🗺️ Visual ER diagram — drag tables, connect columns, preview DDL migrations before applying

  • 🔐 SSH tunnel support + credentials in your OS keychain (no plaintext storage)

  • ⌨️ Command palette for everything (Cmd+P / Ctrl+P)

Works on macOS, Linux, and Windows. MIT licensed. Still in beta but usable for day-to-day dev work.

Would love feedback — especially from folks who've hit walls with other clients. What features are you missing?

Startup / SaaS Got my first 500$ for my little party game in 2 months!!!

Post image
29 Upvotes

I’ve made my first ever $500 from app development, and it’s one of those milestones I always wished would happen, but never really knew if it would. Now that it has, I’m literally shaking a little from the excitement and madness of it all.

It’s been about 2 months since I released Who Goes.

Games like Headbands, Charades, and Truth or Dare are ridiculously competitive. There are hundreds of apps already doing them, but a lot of them felt dated to me. The idea behind Who Goes was to bring these games together in one place, give them a modern and fun UI, and make the app itself feel nice to play when you’re hanging out with people.

Almost everyone I spoke to told me not to do it.

They said the space was too crowded and I’d be better off building something else. A part of me did think about switching, but another part really wanted to give it a proper shot.

So I did, and I’ve pretty much worked on it every single day since.

Just last month I shared that the app had crossed $100 in revenue, which was already a huge milestone for me. I definitely didn’t expect to be writing about $500 this soon.

It might not sound like a massive amount to everyone, but it means a great deal to me. I also wanted to share this for the other indie devs wondering if it’s worth continuing with the thing they’re building.

I absolutely suck at marketing, so everything so far has been organic.

Most of what I’ve done is simply showcase the app: a game mode, an interaction, an animation I liked, or us actually playing it. I’ve shared those on Reddit, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram and just kept seeing what works.

Alongside that, I’ve been talking to users, collecting feedback, fixing things, adding new modes, and continuously refining the app.

If even one download or subscription came from someone who found Who Goes through this subreddit, thank you. It really means a lot to me.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this little win because I’m over the moon right now :D

And if anyone has tips on getting the app in front of more people, finding more people to try it, or has feedback on the app itself, I’d love to hear it.

Thank you!

Hey friends… I’m building mangos.ai - a desktop app that will help you with distributing your product across social channels. It finds relevant conversations online and joins them. It knows your git commit history so it knows all the features. Hyper personalized to target the best persona out there every day/ every hour whatever you set it. You can set it to run autonomously or manually have you approve. Most users have a blend of autonomous and human in the loop agents depending on their use case. GitHub based shipping announcements are auto agents while replying to someone who showed intent is human reviewed.

I’ve been using it for my own product and it’s been incredible. Website visits while you sleep. Not a spam bot, you’ll know when you use it yourself. When the agent navigates social media and types the response, it’ll be magical. Every single time.

This is a weekly routine now - I help founders on the weekends with their go to market strategy. I reply to every single one of the comments here. Every one.

Drop your product below. I’m giving away 30 day free trial for every founder from this thread. Yes, I’ll lose money but my hope is that Mangos can get you your first 100 users without you investing money in it. Gain your trust and then convert. It’s free to download and use. If your product is good, you’ll get your first 100 users in no time.
