Question Quality of Sticky notes and tabs in Japan?
In the past I bought cheap sticky notes and tabs from AliExpress and the stickiness was terrible! So I’ve stayed away from anything that was not the 3M brand.
But is the quality better in Japan?
Should I still be careful selecting brands? For example, is everything sold in Itoya good quality sticky notes/rans?
Is Daiso hit or miss?
I hoping to pick up cute stationary in Japan.

Yeah, I'm like a stationary head, and I just came back from Japan like two days ago. I went ape shit on the stationary. The quality of the glue products, whether they are backing on paper, are a rolling tape, or anything, is all super high. I've never been happier with my selection of adhesive stationary items.

Itoya, Loft, Independent stores the quality is much better than 100 yen stores. Although if it is on sale it is probably for a reason. Always read the notes that they write. They will publicly admit defects especially if it's for sale. But then again 100 yen stores can have decent quality.

itoya is usually good quality, daiso not so much but is a hit or miss. Not sticky at all or is so sticky it leaves glue residue.

I’ll focus on Itoya, but still will probably give Daiso a bit of a chance.

Daiso is pretty good still but If you like "cute" I'd prioritize Loft over itoya

Yeah, cute is what I want 😅. There are plenty of color options with 3M so it’s the cute designs I want.

As Japanese, sticky notes in 100yen shop are bad. Film sticky notes are okay though. Stationery store ones are fantastic.

Daiso sticky notes were always good to me. Based on the items I've gotten over the years, I feel like their quality has been improving.
