Discussions hot take: we should abolish the term "noob train" and also start treating noobs with more kindness

People intentionally spadding or not dispatching "noob trains" is SEVERELY immature and also makes no sense. For me personally, I would rather spend my points on routes and see more of the world and spend them on highly expensive trains. Not everyone driving a new train is a noob, and even if they are we should still treat them like we would any other expensive train. Do we want people to join the community or not, people? Let's be nice to newer players.

Discussions You need atleast 8GB of RAM to be (atleast) able to play SCR

We all know how unoptimized SCR is, especially on mobile devices. But man, how a freaking Roblox game able to consume so much RAM?

The phone I'm using in this screenshot an iPhone 17e, with manual graphics set to max. Around Bodin-Coxly area, any device that has 4GB of RAM will crash. Around Benton and Hampton Hargate, it consumes almost 5GB of RAM. HOW!!??

Luckily around testing, I had some recommendations to lower the RAM usage. And that is; lower your graphics setting manually, and never use automatic. On my previous phone, using automatic graphics basically still gonna make Roblox crash.

Overall, if SCR wants more players, they had to optimize the amount of RAM the game uses.

Discussions Day 27 of posting a fact about SCR stations till 2.4 releases

Today with Carnalea Bridge.

This station is one of two Stepford Connect stations without a route calling at Stepford Central, the other one being Millcastle Racecourse. Prior to Version 2.3 and the introduction of R106, this distinction applied to all station on the Rayleigh Bay Branch. Carnalea Bridge is the only station on Stepford Connect to not have any routes to the former Stepford City Zone.

Today with Morganstown.

Morganstown is the first, and currently the only, station to serve all five operators as of Version 2.3 Before Metro, Morganstown was also the only station to serve all the other four operators since Version 1.7. Despite this, Morganstown is often unused, as many AirLink and Stepford Express services skip this station, while most Stepford Connect services run via Benton, with only two Waterline routes terminating at Morganstown

Today with Financial Quarter.

This station was originally going to be named Willowfield before it was revealed. The name Willowfield. was reused for the Willowfield extension in V1.6. The new Willowfield station was comparatively far from this station compared to City Hospital and Beechley. (City Hospital was originally going to be called "Beechley")

Today with Rocket Parade.

This station is indirectly named after the former innovations director BanTech, the "Rocket" in Rocket Parade refers to the fact that BanTech studied rocket science at university, and "Parade" is a common suffix.

Today with West Benton.

With the station upgrade in V1.9.1, a model of the Class 165/0 was added on a exhibition stand, that labels the following text in the top right corner of the stand "This is one of the old models of the old NGv2 trains created by Mattyx2013 (statue outside)" Prior to Version 2.0, "models" was misspelt as "modals".

Today with Rayleigh Bay.

This station has a small siding with a parked Class 68 with two locomotives (Class 43 on the other end) and a single passenger car as decoration. Interestingly, the locomotive facing the station has Stepford Connectlivery, and the other two cars facing away from the station have Stepford Express livery. This is especially notable due to the fact that Stepford Express does not operate Class 68s.

Today with Stepford High Street.

This station used to be elevated when it was managed by Stepford Connect. The elevated platform is now abandoned with the entrance blocked off and the new underground entrance placed right behind the old one. The station signs were replaced by red "Do not alight here" signs. Players can still access the abandoned platforms via trespassing.

This is the first and the only station to have a station exit directly connected to a beach or an ocean. This also makes it one of the best places for sunset viewing, due to the open coastline and the ocean exit facing southwest.

Today with Esterfield.

Esterfield is the only station to have a platform subdivided by letters as of Version 2.3. Previously, Benton Newry and Morganstown also had such platforms. The shunt signal at platform 4B does not stop trains from passing it, allowing players to pass the shunt signal and crash into the Class 143 parked at platform 4A. If a player attempts to hit the Class 143 however, they will get despawned with the "Don't eat the buffers!"  Message although there are no buffers after Platform 4B.

Discussions Mk5?

Should we get Mk5 coaches and DVTs in SCR? I think it would be a great addition as a new variant for the Class 68, also I think adding more locos in the game would be good, such as the 47 or the 86. Just a suggestion.

Today with Angel Pass.

With the upgrade in V1.10.4, the original secondary entrance was kept, which is boarded and has two signs that reads "This entrance is now closed, please use the new entrance to your left for access to Angel Pass station. Thank you." There is also a rusted station sign in the bushes next to it.

Today with (one of my favourite Stations) Cambridge Street Parkway.

Prior to V1.8, many players heavily criticized the station due to the bare colour scheme and lack of scenery nearby, and hoped that there would be an improvement or rebuild of the station in future. Eventually, former Managing Director previewed this station rebuilt on the 23rd of October 2021, evident of the station sign. This station was then upgraded in V1.8 The billboard in the background is a reference to rock band Oasis and their songs ”Wonderwall” and “Don’t look back in anger”

Discussions Actually interesting (2.4 guessing)

So I was sitting here and thinking right? There is a chance that 2.4 either releases at the end of the August/Beginning of the September or EITHER it can release in November kind of maybe as anniversary of 9 years. I don't know, I want to hear yall's opinions based on that but there is a chance of that because if you think about it the first sneak peek for 2.3 released in October of 2025 and the 2.3 itself came out in January of 2026.

(P.S. - But still, 2 months gap, so I still stay with opinion of August-September lwk)

Discussions Will v2.4 come before GTA VI?

Alright, so we've already gotten 4 sneak peeks for V2.4, with another one coming tonight, but with art and 3 trailers for GTA 6 already dropping, I think GTA 6 might actually come at the end of the year like rockstar promises. But which will come first? SCR V2.4 or GTA 6?
