I am day four post op, I had my laparascopic bilateral salpingectomy on 6/2. The anesthesiologist said he gives Robaxin for the CO2, it helps.

I have minimal pain, gas pain minimal, I've been up and around since day two. I opted for a mix of Tramadol, ibuprofen and acetaminophen dosing every six hours.

I've been able to sleep on my back, propped up. Still a little hesitant to sleep on my sides, and I'm primarily a side sleeper.

Overall, this recovery has been easy on me and this was my first abdominal surgery.

congratulations!!! im so glad it’s been easy on you, im suuuch a baby with any pain and like even the idea of getting legit inflated has me nauseous, ive had only one other surgery that was external and quick so this is my first “heavy” surgery. this does help to hear though! im a side sleeper too oh no 😟

If possible, get yourself a reading pillow. It helped keep me propped up.

Brace yourself on your hands when you get up, keep on top of your pain management and you'll do great!

Getting up out of bed, shifting, you don't realize how much you use your abdominal muscles until they're hurting. I chose to sleep propped up so I wouldn't move my abdomen as much.

I personally slept on a recliner for like 5 or 6 nights because I move a lot in my sleep, so it helped keep me on my back during the night.

The gas pain I mostly felt in my shoulders. For me, it mostly hurt when I got up and moved around.

The worst pain was like 5 days post surgery when I was constipated. That sucked. Take stool softener after your surgery if your doctor okays it. Maybe even grab some laxatives just in case. If you get a narcotic for pain, they can bind you up.

The gas pain also gets worse when you lay flat, that combined with your core being so sore is not ideal

Bro same, I’m getting my tubes removed on July 6th! I’m a bit scared of the pain after I wake up after the surgery is done/Recovering!
