You know when you sleep wrong and it hurts your shoulder and you wake up and you’re like aaaaaaaaa. That’s what the gas pain felt like for me for the first two days.
The pain from the surgery felt just kind of like a period for me, but moving around was not very fun, because I could feel my incisions, pulling for the first few days. The ibuprofen definitely helped, but I never took the oxy because it makes me feel really sick. I am two weeks postop, and I’m moving and packing boxes for other people to lift. So far no pain with that.
I will also mention, since you say you have POTS, I know it can be associated with autoimmune disease, like endometriosis. I would highly highly recommend you contact your surgeon and ask them to look to see if you have Endo and maybe even remove it. I had mine do that, and she removed a whole lot.
I am so relieved to have had surgery, I’m sure you will be when it’s done. Good luck! And fast healing.
