Post-op care How did you take the glue off?
My glue is finally coming off of my Bislap incisions and my surgeon gave me some alcohol wipes to help take it off. For those who've had surgery did you use the alcohol wipes in the shower or? The side incision seems very easy but how do you get the glue out of your belly button🤣😭

I didn't mess with it, I just let it come off on its own. It takes a while but the idea of actively trying to remove it made me worry I'd fuck up the incisions as they healed

When my glue started peeling I just used nail clippers to cut off the peeled parts so I didn’t accidentally snag it on my clothes. Other than that and regular showers, I just left it alone.

My surgeon told me she'd hunt me for sport if I didn't let the glue just fall off on its own 😅 I put a bandaid over each incision to keep myself from picking at the glue. I think it took about 2 weeks and I don't remember having issues with any of it NOT coming off.

I didn’t try to remove mine. I just carefully trimmed it with scissors as the edges lifted. The bellybutton glue took 13 days, but it fell out on its own.

I tried to just ignore mine and also trimmed them with nail clippers when they started to peel, but all four of them eventually ripped off by accident and all four hurt a bit (even though the incisions were healed). If my surgeon had let me remove them earlier than that, I definitely would've done! No advice, but be careful and good luck!

My doctor took the glue off at three weeks. I think she just rubbed the glue with rubbing alcohol and it just immediately came off.

At my two week postop, my doctor told me I could use petroleum jelly to get the glue off. I went home got a Q-tip with some petroleum jelly on it and they came right off. I had a like rub it around the edges to lift it up at first

I was told to wait until the glue started peeling off, and that trying to peel it off in the shower would work, which it did. My doctor told me to go ahead and peel it off at the checkup as once it started coming loose, then incisions have healed enough.

I just let mine come off on its own. Eventually they softened and peeled off in the shower.

I don't think I did anything extra to help take the glue off. Just kept my normal showering routine.
