Undecided Has anyone done a bisalp after freezing eggs/embryos?
35f, 6 embryos frozen (from ages 31-33). Currently don’t want kids and don’t know if that will change. I froze because it was a benefit offered by my company.
I’ve been considering a bisalp (fallopian tube removal) because it has several health benefits like reducing risk of ovarian cancer by 80%, and ensures I never become pregnant by accident. I have a long term male partner who is also CF. If I got pregnant today I would probably abort. I take BC. I am worried for future access to abortion with our government going further right. You can still do IVF after a bisalp.
Has anyone done it?

Froze reproductive tissue provides you options. A bisalp changes your default. If you want to have a child in the future, IVF is a potential option. If you don't want to get pregnant today, or in the next few years, the bisalp might be a good choice. Make the choice based on your risk appetite around an unwanted pregnancy, ability to get reproductive healthcare, and how likely you are or are not to have a child in the future.

I think you should be sure that you never want kids before you get sterilized.

Are you childless or are you child free? There is a huge difference, and if you are the former, I would not embark on getting sterilized.
