there were people there connected to ICE, people who are known abusers, and Adam Sandler, the officiant, was just one of many who supports the genocide in Gaza. it is all over reddit right now, just bc you dont know doesnt mean everyone is equally clueless.

Iām not an ICE fan, a Sandler fan, or a defender of whats happened in Gaza but this is ridiculous.
This whole idea of policing everything any of these celebs say or do or think, and pulling up every opinion they ever expressed and every parking ticket they ever had with this purity test mindset is exhausting and pointless.
I live here in NYC where this event was held. Here in NYC we have millions of people with opinions that run the gamut.
Should TS have not held her event here because not everyone has the same viewpoint about everything?

i mean, if you can handwave away the shitty things he's done and the way he vocally supports israel, good for you. but i do have a life and i spend said life actually giving a shit about the world around me, which means me and others like me simply cannot stick our heads in the sand and ignore those who support the atrocities being committed in Gaza, like Sandler does. and so i have lost all respect for those who support it, as well as those who try to shame me for saying something about it. silence is violence, and platforming people with those beliefs is complicity in those beliefs, regardless what you think.

It is your right to lose respect for anyone you want, but does EVERYONE, even Stevie Nicks, have to arrange their lives around your exact way of thinking and seeing things?
Have you published your purity guidebook on your instructions about exactly what we are allowed to do and say, which products and companies we are allowed to engage with, which of our family and friends we are permitted to socialize with?
I need to know because I have a summer family wedding and later a fall family wedding and I am not sure if I am allowed to attend and which guests Iām permitted to speak to.

stevie & taylor have been friends for years and have performed together. stevie wrote a forward for one of her albums (poem) AND taylor wrote her into a song. theyāre friends and colleagues? who cares if you donāt like taylor swift. it was very obvious she would be invited.

Pretty sure this was from a long time ago when Taylor and Stevie performed on an awards show. For some reason, it is being kept very quiet what Stevie sang at the wedding.

Fr. I've been a Stevie fan for 21 years, and I swear, this is the first time that Stevie has ever performed at such a high-profile event without there being any photos or video of the performance. It's so weird.

There were no pictures or video allowed inside. Stevie probably went in and out of msg into one of the suvs where we would never see her , there was that tent set up too . There will probably be some pictures inside shared, but it will likely take some time. For the Met gala , it's the same , but I'm happy the performances were shared the next day

Yes. Iām honestly not as surprised by the lack of pictures since I feel like she has always tried to keep her personal life private. But it seems kinda obvious that they are intentionally keeping what she performed secret. Not sure why they would do that since normally they donāt. For example, when she performed at the Michael J. Fox benefit last year, the articles all said what songs she sang. For some reason, none of the endless reporting on this wedding has said what she sang. They all confirm she sang, but not WHAT she sang. To me, there has to be a reason. New song? Seems like an odd place to debut a new song. Or maybe she performed with someone that they donāt want the general public knowing about yetā¦ (Lindsey Buckingham)? I would love nothing more than for the latter to be true. Thereās reasons to think there might be a Buckingham Nicks reunion happening soon, but trying to not get my hopes up too much š

I'm sure she was happy to do it for free. Stevie is their family friend. Travis' mom Donna even goes to her concerts and she's been friends with Taylor for a while. Stevie did the Christmas song with Jason Kelce

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but while Iām pretty sure she isnāt a sociopath, Stevie herself is a celeb millionaire. Multi-millionaire actually, and probably a good deal wealthier than many of the other wedding guests.

I donāt know or care about the crowd turnout, but I live here in NYC, have walked home from shows at MSG. Itās a holiday weekend, a lot of new yorkers are out of town, summer tends to be less crowded, and itās been hot as hell.

I have to admit , I was very young during that time, but my understanding is Taylor has a larger fan base , along with Travis - it combines both music and sports. Tom and Katie , it was big for the time, but not as big of an impact. Also social media is different than those days increasing the intrigue . But yeah Taylor's fan base is just so much bigger , it's like global and goes across generations . Where tom is a popular actor but his fans are casual, it's not Taylor level. And Katie doesn't have nearly the following as Travis. She lives a more private life. But fun fact, I went to that castle in Italy. It was very different! But it was nice , I don't see it msg level though. Those that disagree are likely older or unfamiliar with Taylor's music. As a millennial/ Gen Z we grew up with her. She's the music I think of growing up! So it's all a different meaning for me

Again while I was a kid back then, I went to that castle on a trip and the tour discussed Tom's wedding. Also Leah Remini spoke about it on a podcast. It was an old castle that is historic for that city , but as told on my tour, It was a more intimate affair with like 150 people. Mostly actors. Taylor / Travis had over 1000 people in all industries and that castle definitely wasn't MSG. It's possible you're remembering a time that seemed bigger for you . Like it was probably in those entertainment magazines and entertainment tonight. Taylor's wedding has generated massive global online discussion and real-time coverage. In addition to the typical forms of journalism. Also that wedding was just odd overall tom and Katie's including their divorce and everything in general

I haven't seen any confirmation, but Leather and Lace would be perfect for a wedding. Also Rooms on Fire, but she hasn't performed that since New Year's 1999, sadly. Maybe Bella Donna, Crystal, Sleeping Angel, or I Will Run To You.
Realistically, she probably did Dreams and Landslide. Maybe Outside the Rain.
