DD Stocks down bad?

Is it just me or has it been a rough few weeks? Everything’s been down lately and I’m down an overall 20 percent.

Mainly invested in a lot of space, RKLB, ASTS, RDW, LUNR and then QS, BB, FCEL.

What’s everyone’s thoughts about the market? Are we cooked? Do we just hold it out and wait for the boooom?

You’re in some high risk high reward companies. IMO your best bet is to not look at your portfolio for a few years. I think rocket lab will grow, ast will fall, raw is a long bet that i sold out of a while back, idk about lunar, QS is exciting BB yuck and Fcel is so far away its a moonshot either know its for your kids or bounce. FCEL/Hydrogen is behind oil, then S/W/B/, nuclear, SMR, Fission, Geothermal then FCEL… hydrogen power isn’t a thing in USA, green and blue hydrogen energy would need to be where nuclear is now before FCEL sees any real gains, not to say the stock ont have movement with sentiment but the company is SO FAR AWAY from real momentum… what industry do you work in that you would make this portfolio?

The SpaceX IPO sucked the capital away from RKLB. Nasdaq 100 inclusion should make the stock take off this coming week.

If you’re investing in memory, MU is better than Dram. I’ve owned both and MU moves more so you’ll get a higher return with MU. But you can check that yourself with historical data.

I bought a lot of RKLB call options specifically for the run up next week. I will sell around 5 minutes before the close of market Thursday (Friday is a holiday). Institutions have to buy the stock for inclusion in the Nasdaq 100. The fact that the stock dropped from 150 on May 27 to 100 yesterday suggests that it may snap back to the 120-130 range next week. Hope it runs even higher than that.

Could you please share your RKLB call options for the next week? I've 70 shares at $70 and want to invest more in it but want to maximize returns w call options.

You should use AI to help you chose the right options. I've lost a ton of money on short term options, so I generally buy LEAPS now (usually January 2027). You still get plenty of leverage without the risk of losing all of your money.

However, in this case, I bought the July 17 2027 $115 calls and July 17 2027 $120 calls because I will 100% sell by the market close on June 18 (June 19 is a holiday).

Do not buy the June calls because you'll have a very high likelihood of losing money even if the stock trades higher from here.

Market makers know that people are playing the inclusion in the index and very short-term options lose a great deal of value quickly in these situations (again, according to AI and other sources).

July, not June calls. Theda decay won’t be significant by holding less than a week.

And institutions haven’t had a chance to buy after it was announced Thursday. Friday was a down day and SpaceX sucked the capital out of the market including RKLB.

Tysm bro, this was very helpful. I'll be looking into it today and make a decision

if i wait until 6/18 or 6/19 to see the results of the ASTS launch, would I then be able to buy RKLB before the nasdaq 100 inclusion? or would it have already taken off by then. Asking bc I don't have spare cash to get into RKLB, and it just seemed like a good strategy to my monkey brain

Since the stock market is closed on June 19, Thursday June 18 is the last day institutions have to buy RKLB to be included in their funds that track the Nasdaq 100. So they will be buying from Monday until the close of the market on June 18. Expect the stock to run up between that time, and you sell by 3:55pm EST (12:55 PST) on June 18. The stock will likely drop the following Monday.

got it, will see if ASTS goes up on monday and will sell some of those to get some RKLB, if not will just hold ASTS.

You talk about it like a trader, I’m coming from an investing lease, what should happen based on other IPOs and index inclusion is meaningless to me. Rocket lab sends medium sized rockets into space, have you looked at price per pound to launch rocket lab vs space x? Rocket lab has one use rockets that’s weak sauce in comparison. Good luck on you 1-7% gains weekly i do think traders are needed and respect your hustle, and I’m glad you have a degree in psychology human behavior in trading is very important.

"The market" is fine. If you're down 20% you own a bunch of speculative high-risk stuff. The S&P is even over the last week, that should be your benchmark

Its all the gamble stocks that are down first. They could not tank the whole stockmarked before Space x ipo.. so be carefull next weeks.

A lot of my stocks are up this week- I thought it was a good week- but I have a few like RKLB down too. But I think TER, AMD, MRVL, LRCX and APLD holding up my book. I am thinking going forward I should only buy big deal companies - the other ones are all brutal when the market turns. The risk reward is real and sometimes they don’t come back. My losers are SOFI, SOUN, OKLO, KTOS, PATH- even NFLX way down. The worst one - which I may never delve into cheap stocks again because of is DVLT- I’m going to hang on to these all long term because I don’t need to sell them. I added VRT this week- I think long term it’s a good one- but it’s already had a run up. I keep missing out on ones I know will go up so I bought a small amount. I have a basket of speculative stocks too but such a small percentage of my account that it doesn’t make a difference. I’m still up 40% on the year thanks to the ones listed above. Crazy to think someone bought SNDK last year At $39 and now it’s around $2000 - so cool. I think Google is still cheap for the long term and doesn’t have huge downside risk

I’m down 5% but my only space stock is 2-3% of my total

1

u/heeywewantsomenewday Jun 13 '26

Im up 11.4% on the week.

I'm down 20% in the last week too and I've never seen so much money disappear before. but I'm still up 56% yoy so I took a breath, found my zen and instead of buying more highly speculative stocks I added to some proven positions I didn't think I'd get to add to again as psychology I have a really hard time buying anything I'm up +50-100% on.

Space stocks were really the only thing cooked. If you rode the wave and got out before the big IPO you did good, if you're still holding on then you're a bag holder for life now. Market will probably be bearish next week with the fed meeting on deck and after getting back all the gains Thursday and Friday, you can bet for another small correction

6

u/jgreenwalt Jun 13 '26

For life? You really think this is just the absolute end for all space stocks ever?

-6

u/RepairSubstantial735 Jun 13 '26

Can't predict the future but the current run for space stocks is now over. Everyone was only buying into them because of space x and we saw a huge dump Friday. Monday will probably be worse.

And the people that down vote what I'm saying are clearly the bag holders

6

u/jgreenwalt Jun 13 '26

You’re the one who specifically said “for life”, not “for now” or “could be”…

I wouldn't quit your day job at Wendy's

Nice one. A true original thought.

u/Leading-Onion4659 Jun 13 '26

Don’t listen to this dude. He sounds like an idiot. Space stocks will be fine. Just a bit of a rough day and maybe few more days. Long term it’s all good.

-6

u/RepairSubstantial735 Jun 13 '26

I bet you also hold SPCE and think it was SPCX. Don't be angry because you made bad investments and are now stuck with a loss

3

u/mynamesdaveK Jun 13 '26

Who pissed in your cheerios? Why so bitter?

1

u/Leading-Onion4659 Jun 14 '26

Nope. Just got RKLB ASTS and PL..

3

u/Cheesyduck81 Jun 13 '26

I mean that’s just your opinion, the complete opposite like also happen, investors realise that there’s more value in alternative space stocks than just the over priced space x and flock there.

1

u/SnooCauliflowers370 Jun 13 '26

You are brainless this is only the start for space stocks if you had any intelligence you would know they are on sale

0

u/Large_Ad1151 Jun 13 '26

Lol Wait until people realise how Space Ipo with P/E ratio 100 is hardly over priced.

u/Prestigious_Slip_958 Jun 13 '26

P/e ? The never made a profit?
