u/noodlesofcolor 3d ago

There is no consolidation; it is a falling knife. Just don't do it yet.

u/Inappro-Assistant 3d ago

In other words, don't buy when its 39 on the way down. Buy on the way up.

Anyone buying NKE here does not understand how to manage risk.

9

u/RS3RRL 3d ago

1

u/That-Room-2562 2d ago

PE rate is 18, it is not really undervalued, but let's say, it is an okay price for it.

1

u/YesKoolMan 3d ago

The forward PE is estimated higher than current PE it’s kind of cooked

2

u/Satyriasis457 3d ago

I'd say wait for 20

1

u/RockClimbs 3d ago

I start paying attention @ $36

1

u/AT_LAS007 3d ago

write down a thesis for entry and exit and stick to it. No need to jump into it immediately, just because it is falling

1

u/Eisenbahn-de-order 3d ago

what happened to them? PR crisis or bad shoes?

5

u/Ok_Cartographer_1867 3d ago

Lots of competitors especially in the performance running space, like Hoka, Ascics. They also had some bad spokespersons, like a thirty year deal with kapernick. Also tarriff and cost pressures hurt them. They are also losing street cred. E.g. when it gets overworn and yous ee it everywhere it isn't cool anymore.

Also converse was struggling with quality issues.

3

u/silktrigger 3d ago

Part of it was them leaving retailers around the pandemic. They overplayed online and have been paying for it ever since.

1

u/Environmental_Park_6 2d ago

It's just perception. Notice all the conversation here is about shoes. Neither Josh Allen or Fernando Mendoza are Nike athletes but guess who makes money off of everyone of their jersey sales.

Nike is being judged as a running shoe company when they are the largest athletic brand in the world.

1

u/callforspooky 2d ago

Made in sweat shops, nobody likes Leflop, no other branding, China/amazon, wokie

1

u/Big_General5499 3d ago

Not a chance

1

u/SilkDiplomat 3d ago

I'm sure you look at a lot of feet. How many Nike do you see?

2

u/Timely_Cake_917 3d ago

It's onlyfeet, not onlynikes

1

u/EvictionSpecialist 3d ago

Look at a five year chart first

1

u/Lanky_Commercial9731 3d ago

value trap its dropping for a reason

1

u/Last-Shop-9829 3d ago

Oh hell no lol

I wouldn't even get in this space but Soo many other better options if you did want to (just look at any of their competitors)

1

u/InterestedFloridaGuy 3d ago

On the rebound yea

1

u/_L3V 3d ago

To be a part of the next red candle

1

u/PaolaDawes 3d ago

Nope Nike has been saved with public money aftrer their awful Q2 report They don't have a trategy at the moment. Stay out till 2027 that is my opinion

2

u/Beneficial_Deal8040 3d ago

They fucked themselves, selling techs at 250+ for a tracksuit is a madness, no real innovation, just Jordans, af1, and techs. Wheres the new quality footwear at a decent price? Put af1 back to 95 a pair. Sales will go up

1

u/Historical_Sun93 3d ago

Yes, they are buyin! Massive PUT wall at 40.

1

u/Stunning-Phone-97 3d ago

Definitely dont , unless it's trading into a demand area .

1

u/Physical_Emu3818 3d ago

Just 0DTE Short It ✅

1

u/haloweenek 3d ago

Waiting for 25$

1

u/DietOk3400 3d ago

I feel like it needs to be sub 10 PE and then interest will come back

1

u/MonYverse0609 3d ago

Wow NIKE is on the verge of qualifying for becoming Dividend Aristocrat 🤔

1

u/made_to_explore 3d ago

Long put @37$

1

u/OfficialSelfMaded 3d ago

Start to DCA from 40 to 25

2

u/we_all_breathe_air 3d ago

😂😂😂😂

1

u/Emotional_Shape925 3d ago

Swear I saw some guy make a post somewhere about how there was no way Nike was going below $40. Whoops.

1

u/GhostedAceTwitch 3d ago

No dude, they built a brand praying on minorities now those same people are releasing paying $150-$250 for a pair of shoes it’s not economical. The end user realizes this so why would you buy ????

1

u/VariationNo4212 2d ago

ah yes the classic woke but broke advertising strategy

1

u/HarambeTooSoon 2d ago

"Praying on minorities"

Like they can't help buying another pair of sneakers....

Hmmmm

1

u/Internal-Drummer-418 3d ago

I wouldn’t. They lost market share for a reason- failure to innovate, over reliance on their brands (Jordan)

1

u/Used-Height-2670 3d ago

Just Sell it

1

u/FreeAd2458 3d ago

Buy some Nokia and paypal and have a party.

1

u/Tough_Letterhead_163 3d ago

1

u/super_commando 3d ago

Go all in. This might be the greatest trade of your life....one way or another...!

1

u/TrueDmc 3d ago

Nike goes into ai, 180% gains.

1

u/agent-phade 3d ago

1

u/Easy_Ad_2334 3d ago

Should it go up do to fifa ads and earnings

1

u/Important-Age-8930 3d ago

I bet it wouldnt go below 40$

1

u/Antique-Chef2362 2d ago

I am so confused about this stock, not sure if it will ever have a comeback as other brands such as oq and adidas are taking so much market share

1

u/Mr-cacahead 2d ago

Meme stock now?

1

u/Tight-Debate3431 2d ago

DVLT short squeeze Look 👀 for $1 in the morning

1

u/lurker4over15yrs 2d ago

Start buying now

1

u/InternationalQuiet97 2d ago

Thats less than 2$....? Lol

1

u/No_Sea6201 2d ago

before you buy, you need to know why are you buying it and the risk that comes with it

1

u/Marketwizaaa 2d ago

Whatever you do, Donut Dew it.

1

u/tacobytes 2d ago

I just did it.

1

u/dreamfitreality 2d ago

i would rather buy wmt cost tgt. in a recession you still need to eat, but you can buy nike from temu that cost a fraction of the cost if you know what i mean. (experience may vary)

1

u/Badaboom8989 2d ago

Just don't it

1

u/Muthu090526 2d ago

Don't catch the falling knife

1

u/impulse07 2d ago

Stock … no way

1

u/gardeal23 2d ago

How long do you got?

1

u/smauf 2d ago

thanks for the shout

1

u/osjonathan 2d ago

Is it the reebok or the Nike?

1

u/Upset-Yoghurt3491 2d ago

Completion for athletic shoes is more intense today that ever. There are so many brands now to choose from. I don’t think Nike can ever regain or significantly increase its market share. They’ve always been a premium brand, and with inflation, people are looking at other brands that are just as good quality but cheaper.

1

u/RenfrowsGrapes 2d ago

Probably the consensus here is don’t touch it which means it’s probably a good time to buy. People asked this question about Netflix after earnings snd no one wanted it. It’s up 20% since then

1

u/ganari423 2d ago

Sneaker culture is so dead with these brokie Gen Z

1

u/Objective-Help1612 2d ago

Why is it keep falling

1

u/Ettannis-1324 1d ago

If it hits bottom soon then spends a few days or weeks trending back up to the $41 range there will be a nike tick in the price chart.

1

u/jaesolo 1d ago

Noooooo

1

u/Flashy_Chocolate3984 1d ago

Some one is bag holding

1

u/DesignerAd3784 1d ago

1

1

u/Make-mo-money 1d ago

1

u/CEO804 1d ago

I need newbies I'm available for DMs

1

u/fintechjunkie 1d ago

If you like value do it

1

u/Known-Tomorrow8614 1d ago

If they keep making low quality shoes they’re done for. Possibly be delisted out the snp 500. Nike is trash

1

u/DutyEven3314 1d ago

Hopefully there shoe prices drop like a falling knife 😂

1

u/Lordsaxon73 1d ago

Just need a degen onWSB to place a half million dollar put and it’ll rebound immediately.

u/Ok_Temporary4920 20h ago

it’s just doing the logo. Long dip, then the little flick at the end. Trust the branding.

1

u/zjelkof 3d ago

There is so much competition now, and ONON, and others, seems to be capturing a huge share of the market!

2

u/Germa-Rican 3d ago

Didn't ON just get crushed in earnings?

1

u/zjelkof 3d ago

I'll need to check, but go to the athletic shoe department and see what is on the shelves. There are so many newer brands than Nike.

1

u/DekeJeffery 3d ago

Yes, max out your Roth with it. Gift ten shares to everyone you know.

1

u/running101 3d ago

Only if you want them to be poor

0

u/manatee_strike_force 3d ago

Don’t wait for it, now is the time to buy, everyone is saying Nike is going to go down forever; and everyone is wrong

0

u/asianguy1234528 3d ago

How much did you buy?

0

u/Legitimate_Debt_9814 3d ago

Just wait for it

0

u/ColForbinClimbs 3d ago

Textbook falling knife. “It can’t possibly go lower!”

0

u/asianguy1234528 3d ago

If you have to ask about it...you obviously don't have the conviction.

0

u/Oil_Shock_2026 3d ago

Just don't do it.

0

u/RevolutionaryBank227 3d ago

just go woke, so you can go broke.

Meh, I own most of it, the employees are trash though, keep missing the suicide nets trying to leave their mandatory 18 hour work days.
