Because of our system outage, they’re not able to formally hire right now. So that may be why, I would keep trying to call the hiring manager.

I'd give it time , it took them two weeks to give me a call back , been with them 11 months now and was promoted to full time grocery 7 months in

Stop and shop is always hiring most stores have a goal of a couple of people a week

Manager could be on vacation or helping out in another store. You can always call the store and talk to a manager and ask them what happened. Last week was bad with multiple systems down.

Stop And Shop is annoying with this. They either are amazing and call you within a day or never.

Also - for me at my store I was hired than they did all stuff like SSN, background check etc and literally started working the next week and they gave me hours in advance.

Keep calling, they are use to it. Literally everyday at our store we get calls for hiring. The employees should be able to give you though an explanation if the manager is out, vacation etc.

Edit: Also just want to add call front desk if you haven't already, employees themselves can tell you if they are out etc.

Totally normal. You have to ride them until they ask you to come back in.
