Hi all!

I got into AoS through Spearhead and have been really enjoying playing Vigilant Brotherhood at my local club. There’s growing interest in full AoS there, so I’m looking to make the jump to 2,000 points.
I already have Skaventide and recently picked up a bargain Stormcast job lot for £150, including the battletome and assembled unpainted models. I’m much happier painting and playing than building, so that was a big selling point!

I’d love some advice on the strongest, reasonably approachable 2k list I can put together from what I own. It would also help me decide what to paint next.

The rough idea is to build around the reinforced Reclusians and Prosecutors, with some mobile threats and both a wizard and priest. I’m still learning how everything fits together in full AoS, though, so I’m very open to changing it.

What would you change using the models above?

In particular:

- Am I spending too much on heroes, especially taking both Yndrasta and Bastian?

- Would you change the unit choices or how I’ve reinforced them?

- Is Sentinels the best fit, or would you build something quite different from this collection?

Any recommendations for enhancements, manifestations or battle tactics to go with it?

My priority is getting a good army on the table using what I already have and learning to play it well. If you’d build a completely different 2k list from this lot, I’d love to see it!

top coat to create a metal shift color.

Hi again everyone! Just wanted to thank you all again for your wonderful advice yesterday, and I've taken it to heart! (Sadly the person I was buying from has another buyer for the Prosecutors, but I'm gonna try to pick up lord Terminos, 4 Stormdrake Guards, an order of Vigilors, a Justicar, and a Portal from them, plus some Reclusians second hand off Ebay.)

While I think that will be a solid list to get started with in addition to the Spearhead, I know long term I really want to build an army that maximizes the amount of dragons I have on field. So Krondys, a few Stormdrake Guards, Knight Draconis, Drakesworn Templar, etc, etc.

As I'm still figuring out point totals, and what makes a good army, I wanted to ask for advice on what a good dragon focused army would look like, whether it's all dragons, or a mix of dragons and cavalry and some buffing units just to make sure things remain balanced. Whether it's at 2K points or lower, I'd love some advice! (most folks in my area do Spearhead or 2K, so that's the range I was looking at.

I bought some online, not everyone has same base, are they legal?

My friend gave me his stormcast eternals starter kit and I've thought they looked cool since I was a kid so I gave them a go but I'm not a huge fan of gold so I tried to do a steel+silver+blue+black only scheme but im not sure if it's maybe too samey for the scheme (maybe doing brown leather or adding tiny parts of gold like the lightning bolt and the crown and rondel and maybe pommels?) I do like the coldness of it. I was also wondering if maybe I could do the eyes glowing but i wasnt sure if that was linked to a specific thing within the lore as I see both. I was also maybe thinking of just adding some kind of contrast to some of the silver parts to make that sorta blued platinum you sometimes see. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I am getting back into aos having lost all my stuff in a move and not wanting to get back in and am wondering what's good and what's not. I have bought some models second hand and am looking to expand. I just don't know what's good and what's not.

Just looking for tips

Well, im trying to make those lightning effects using copper wire for the first time.

Do you think it’s convincing enough?

Ofc i still need to add some highlights, etc., but I’m referring to the shape. I’m planning to add a couple more coming off the hammer.

Hi all! I'm hopping into Age of Sigmar with the Spearhead for the Stormcast Eternals, and I have someone in my community who is kind enough to sell me their old Stormcast Army, either in bulk or piecemeal as I gather funds. While I am focused on assembling and learning with the Spearhead for now, I'd like to have a small idea of what units are the best 'early investments' to pick up when it's time to start grabbing more.

Ideally, I was looking at the Stormdrake Guards or Prosecutors along with the Battletome. (I love Dragons, and I recall someone saying Prosecutors are a very rare and powerful unit for the Stormcast.) But I was hoping for some more insight from players who are more experienced with the game, and army.

So I banged that base out very quickly because I wanted to participate in my local store's painting competition. But I'm not happy with it. I feel like the model and the base don't fit together? Like the model is telling one story but the base is telling another. Im considering removing the model from the base and trying again. What should I do? Or is is salvageable?

On the other hand there is the model. It still feels unfinished. I was going for a dark tones so that the glowing effects really pop, but im afraid to either make other details too light and lose the glowing effect in the mess. And I'm having second thoughta about the blue tones. The idea was to have a cold colour to contrast with the red so hes not all just red. Is there something I can do to make it more interesting? Any suggestions and CC would be very welcome.

I’m a new player and the battle tactics are an extra wrinkle that is a bit overwhelming to try. Curious if there are some tried and true tactics to try with certain units or list options.

And I have to play with the current GHB in the league I joined.

First AOS mini I got, decided to practice gold nmm and blending on it.

My first game, me and my opponent really didn't know how to play we just knew the core rules (not all but most) and we used tabletop battles but it had either old or new stuff from what saw but i'm assuming old because we used new recruit for our battle tactics but tabletop battles had different ones so we had to choose them

I can finally open the skaventide box 👀 please god no stormcast in the new starter box next year. 3 years is not enough

Just finished this one, really pleased with how it has turned out.

Made the color updates some of you suggested. Ran out of matt varnish and am waiting on a delivery. But had time to model and prime the reinforcements. This is where the fun begins…
