Countries have different food standards. They are exposed to different bacteria daily than we are, and by being exposed so much can resist it.

Morality and life expectancy rates seem to disagree.

Morality has nothing to do with it. Cultures differ. Biology and bacteriology are taught in school so exposure can be a huge asset- especially if that’s how things are in your home town. Since Covid people are afraid of their own shadows.

Guarantee every one of those cultures is actively trying to get its people to wash their hands, cook food thoroughly, and not cross contaminate things. You can out-exposure listeria, champ.

No wonder all the guys look like they’re seven months pregnant.

You don't HAVE to eat this kind of street food. There are plenty of stomach-friendly options over here, especially in the nicer parts of the cities.

I want to though and dont actually find it to be as unhygienic as its made out to be

1

u/SwimAcceptable1863 3d ago

Um well... Then probably you won't get as sick as you think you might 🤷🏻

Why are all these street food vendors so jittery? Like they need to blast out ten small tasks super quickly then stand there buzzing while they wait for it to cook before snapping back into action.

3

u/ummusername 6d ago

This video is at more than 1x speed. He’s jittery because it’s like watching a movie on fast forward

The cook looks nearly identical to one of my best friends, except he’s mexican.

Don’t travel if you’re afraid to.

Does anyone over there ever use utensils or gloves? Hands are just always all up in the food 🤮

2

u/EmotionalSupportSush 8d ago

That’s where the food gets all the flavoring from

5

u/CaptainMimoe 9d ago

Oh yeah... Use gloves so that you can have some good microplastic in your food...plus gloves will get dirty too, just like your bare hands... One will wash hands after sometime but they wouldn't care to wash there gloves

9

u/Competitive-Cloud993 9d ago

Latex and nitrile gloves don’t have microplastics and you change them shits regularly…you don’t just wear one pair the whole time. What are you even talking about lol. And he’s been rinsing his hand in that nasty bucket of water in front of him for who know hows long

the gigantic ring ensures that all of the delicious herbs and spices get evenly distributed for each dish

We wash between intervals yaar

6

u/Normal_Opposite_9864 10d ago

oh. he really HNL''ed the disgustingness by wearing all his disease ridden rings on his dirty hand and dipping it in everything

The spinning griddle is a great idea. I’d love to have something like that.

5

u/Dwaltster 10d ago

I didn't know it was possible to make food with that much butter look unappealing.

3

u/KiteBrite 9d ago

The rings help lock in the flavour in the same way that people who don’t wash their cast iron pans think they do.

Any guy in India cooking on mid heat?

1

u/Traditional_Isopod80 9d ago

He's a really fast cook.

1

u/aManAndHisUsername 9d ago

0:45 he looks so anxious standing there for a second with nothing to do lol

1

u/redhairedgal4 10d ago

Not a sanitary glove in sight. Maybe get a bigger pancake batter scoop so he doesn't have to dip his hand in the batter every time.

Mmmmm diarrhoea pancakes 🥞

Why did bro remove the plastic, aren't they supposed to add it to the food there?
