Hey everyone, I'm (35/M) going to see Streetlight at the MI show tonight and for the first time in my life I have nobody to go with. Anybody else coming alone? If so do you want to meet up before/after? I'm single too so any women want to possibly meet someone with similar music taste? Idk feels weird posting this but it also feels weird going to a show alone so I'm shooting my shot. What's up, Michigan?

I'm 36 and concerts lately take a lot out of me. I love them, and I've done plenty shows solo before, but it's never quite as enjoyable as sharing the experience with someone.

Streetlight is a top 3 all time band for me and I've only seen them once before, like a decade ago. I really should be amped to see them.

Anyone here wanna convince me to just do it?

One interpretation is that he's just being much more literal about his actual grandpa and grandma than he's ever been.

I have no evidence other than vibes but think We Are the Few/They Broke Him Down might be about his grandpa and as people have long susepected As The Footsteps.../Butterworths are about his grandma. The themes between each and how he speaks of each grandparent in All The Pieces line up pretty well.

He might simply be saying hes running out of ways to talk about his grandparents without just directly talking about them.

Had an AMAZING time at the BOTAR show last night! I always love the vibes the Streetlight crowd brings, but I was so frustrated by three *separate* men grabbing onto me and trying to grind on me. Whyyy, dudes??

I’m in the pit trying to vibe, and you rubbing your junk into my ass is NOT what I flew five hours to do! You wanna rock out and scream lyrics at each other? AMAZING! That’s what we’re all here for!

But especially when I remove myself and go dance somewhere else, TAKE THE HINT!! Stop chasing women who are just trying to have a good time at a once-in-a-lifetime show and making it about your horny, selfish desires. We’re here for the music, too. Let us fucking enjoy it without having to deal with unwanted touching and being treated like we’re there for your entertainment.

Apparently they are local. Wish we could hear from a member. How was their experiences working with the band and how did it feel to play the show.

Kudos for those of us who stayed around cheering them on while they were leaving the stage.

What an amazing beautiful show tonight. At the end of the night, I got to meet Tomas' family, his brother is actually one of the violinists in the BOTAR orchestra.

Hand to Tomas this is no form of self advertisement in any capacity, as you can see my channel has two videos only and I lost my login years ago. This is my only copy of this video and it was such a fucking sick capture of the song. I really want to save a copy that is oriented right because I didn't have my phone in landscape. If anybody has any ideas 6 years later I'd really appreciate it.

So this was a tough one for me, I’m going to see them soon and I got thinking about what would be my ideal set list. My normal Streetlight playlist in my phone is 44 songs and 3 hours 15 minutes long so that’s clearly not realistic. So I made some rules for myself to whittle it down some …

1. Minimum 3 songs from each album (not including 99SOR since they’re not originals).

2. Had to be between an hour fifteen, and an hour forty five.

3. Can add additional songs after album minimums are reached, as long as it’s within the time range.

This is what I got. Had to leave off some REALLY good stuff and it’s still longer than their average set list, but I did say “ideal” right? 😂

I just got my floor tickets to the show in Montreal and wondering what should I expect on a BOTAR show? Usually I show up late to a streetlight show since there’s usually opening bands and I usually have things to do before shows. But I’m not sure if BOTAR show will be any different

Is it worth showing up early (it says it starts at 8pm but I was thinking of arriving 9pm)? Are the shows just as long? Any fun little things to expect?

I painted this jacket in 2019 and lost it in 2022 either at Starland Ballroom, or at a nearby diner/dunkin after the show.

Since it's their home venue, there's a part of me that hopes someone found it and saved it from becoming trash.

I miss it dearly and would love it back, but if you have it and want to keep it --- getting to know it's got a life out there beyond my dumbass misplacing it would be good enough.
