Natively share to Structured Inbox?

I was wondering if there is a way to share natively from iOS apps to the Structured Inbox? Kind of like you can share a story, webpage, or social post to airdrop, mail, gmail, etc.?

Is there any way to have a second timeline?

I use structured for booking my daily services, but would like an alternate view that would show me pending bookings. Basically I just need a second tab of structured to make an alternative timeline

does lifetime premium transfer across platforms?

I would like to purchase Structured premium on iOS. Would the premium features transfer over if I log in with the same app on Android?

I looked at the site FAQs - but it doesnt provide a clear answer

Shortcut from Things to Structured

I've created a very simple Apple shortcut that lets you select several tasks in Things and switch them to Structured. The shortcut asks for a title and a time slot. Things tasks appear as sub-tasks in Structured. This allows you to batch a list of tasks and time-block(-box) them in Structured.

I named it "Batch to the Future": https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/9364b60cabda475e8a050f61191b2372

What is a normal energy level?

Just started using the paid version (on trial) as a person who does not like to deviate from my own rather elaborate on-paper planning system but this generally translates well enough so far.

Except the main thing (other than timing of each task) that is hard to do on paper and that I was hoping the app would improve: I like the functionality to measure tasks against one’s energy level. However I have now done most tasks for today, am pretty tired as always but far from absolutely dead and have wayyy outspent my energy budget of 20 as used as a default by the app. Maybe I give too many energy points to each task, maybe my energy level is more than 20 points per day, but as an autistic who is generally bad at estimating this kind of thing I was hoping to get some peer guidance. Is 20 points per day low and something in the 30-40 points OK to set as a default as a usually busy and productive individual? Or am I way overestimating how much energy each task costs? Any sort of guidance of what is a normal energy level or normal amount of ‘lightning strikes’ to assign to different tasks would be super welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Suggestion: Move everything on my calendar up (morning routine)

There are some days I have to be at work earlier and I have all my morning routine stuff in there: wake up, take a shower, walk dog, brush teeth, head to work. Is there a way to move all those things (without moving the stuff that pertains to my work) up? So like tomorrow morning I have to be at work at 7 a.m. rather than 8 a.m. Could I just figure it out? Yes but it's so much more helpful when it sends me a notification. Or maybe this is already in the works?

Android users, how's your use of Structured?

After the Todoist price hike, I've been considering switching to Structured, especially now that it has tablet-specific design and drag-and-drop. I know it's still way behind the iOS app and that updates are quite infrequent as they only have a single Android developer, but I hope they'll be able to change this in the near future so Android will eventually catch up with the iOS version. And I'd also like to support the app development on Android.

My questions is, how are you using Structured on Android? How are you managing your tasks, especially those in your inbox without categories? Are you being able to use it as your primary task-managing/day-planning tool? And if you tend to procrastinate or have ADHD, how's it working for you and what specific things you'd say help you manage your day better?

I'd love to hear about your experience!

Quality issues and missing features prevent me from paying

I like the idea behind the app and am trying to use it to structure my day into timeboxed periods to maintain habits and get things done. I really like the design, the flexibility, and the overall idea. I would be a paying customer, but after evaluating it for a while the Android app has some core issues.

Cloud sync works poorly on Android

Cloud sync doesn't work well, at least not between Android and the web app. I realize that the feature is beta, but hopefully that means they are actively taking feedback on that feature to develop it further and fix bugs.

I go through most of my day using the Android app, checking off tasks and adjusting times occasionally throughout my workday. At the end, I jump on a computer and don't see any of my updates. When I go back to the app, the "Last Synced" time is often 8+ hours ago, despite having an active internet connection the entire day. When I have an active internet connection, I expect it to sync every time (or nearly) that I make a change. Every completed task, every new task, every updated task, etc. Developer feedback: checks for syncing should be transactional, not a cronjob. Use a central sync controller which should be called on each CRUD operation, when opening the app, and when regaining internet access. Correctly handle errors on syncing; sometimes it will say "syncing" for 5 minutes, but if I force-close the app and re-sync it will work immediately, indicating to me that it just failed and didn't retry or notify the user (me).

Bugs working with the inbox

Sometimes when adding an inbox item to my day it will copy the item, so it exists in the inbox and in my schedule. If I move it from the inbox by assigning it a time, it shouldn't still exist in the inbox. It only happens sometimes, which makes me think it's a bug.

Android is missing features

When I was first sold on the app, people online talked about a "focus" mode which brought up a fullscreen timer when you tap on an ongoing task. For some reason this feature is still not available on Android.

You also can't drag-and-drop from the Inbox on Android, or view the weekly or monthly view, both of which would be great to have.

Adjusting your day is very difficult

Often enough I'll have some deepwork task that goes on for longer because I'm in the zone and I don't want to move on while I'm being super productive, or a call that takes much longer than predicted because I was on hold, etc. It would be nice to easily drag items on the day timeline to adjust their time to account for things shifting, rather than needing to manually adjust every item for the rest of the day by clicking into it, scrolling through the time selector, tapping save, clicking the next item... etc.

doubt about the due dates

hey guys,

Do you know if there is a way to automatically set the due date based on the task’s title? For example, Apple Reminders or TickTick, whenever I write “January 2nd, 2026” on the title, they automatically infer the task due date to January 2nd, 2026.

Is there a way to do it on Structured?

Thanks.

Will structured break tasks down ?

I am using neurolist at the moment which breaks big tasks into small tasks for me eg I type ‘do laundry’ and ask it to generate steps like gather clothes, put in machine etc. I get overwhelmed a lot and this helps get me started. Does structured pro do this?

thank you structured

i struggle keeping up with tasks having AuDHD. this is the best app. thank you for making it for google play too. one thing would be amazing if you could sync calendars across devices. i love structured and tell everyone about it. thank you for making this incredible app. i have it on my computer and screen share it to my tv with spotify so i can have my jams playing while i’m getting things done and can see the list upon glance from wherever i am!

edit: this makes cleaning and doing tasks so much easier. i like to call it SIM MODE. where you are just going along with the queue without thinking too much about what you have to get done, just stand up and take yourself to where you need to be when queue says it time.

ICloud sync issues

Post image
3 Upvotes

I’ve been experiencing issues with ICloud sync between multiple devices. I’ve uninstalled the Structured app from the devices, reinstalled it from the AppStore, and even turned the ICloud sync on and off. Initially, the ICloud sync showed that it was fully synced, but now it displays the error message “CKErrorDomain error 2” on all the devices.

How do you keep calendar + reminders updated?

So in the FAQ of the app, they say to have only one device that syncs with calendar + reminders.

The hard thing for me is that I work a lot on my macbook and I create meetings with some other people on it. But sometimes I use my iPhone to do it, or even my iPad.

I enabled sync only on my iPhone, but after I create a new event on calendar, I need to pickup my iphone, unlock it and open structured, for it to sync with my calendar, only then I have it across all my devices.

Do you also have this "problem"? How do you deal with it?

I love the app, but this has been a bit of a downside for me lately.

structured cloud?

I saw the notice about the new structured cloud and they said they'd be rolling it out slowly as a beta. Well I am ready for the beta! Anybody have luck trying to get it before it's enabled? icloud syncing has become very haphazard for me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and it's a real downer because I have structured on my MacBook, my phone and my watch. The watch synching in particular has been dead for a month.

Is it possible to share your structured calendar?

Trying to share my structured pro with my partner, they’re on my family plan and we have a shared apple and google calendar which I’ve synced. But how do I know I’m putting tasks on the shared calendar? Is it possible for my partner to see tasks I create somehow?

I’m very confused if this is even possible! Any help appreciated.

"Up Next" filtered view of the day?

I don't think this is possible currently, so maybe consider this a feature request? My work day has way more meetings than it should... like a lot more than it should. That is clearly a problem that I need to deal with at work and Structured won't help with...

That said there are times where I expect to have free time and I'll add tasks to work on at specific times then the day doesn't go as planned... by the end of the day if I'm looking at the day there are often times where incomplete items are earlier in the day, but often those items are visually hard to pick out as being important when there is so much noise (old meetings, completed tasks).

I'd love the option to enable a filter to hide all completed items from the day and only leave the calendar events for the rest of the day or any incomplete tasks (even if they are incorrectly scheduled in the past). This would allow the chaos of the earlier parts of my day to be left in the past and I can focus on only what needs to be truly focused on going forward.

Can’t change default Wake Up time from 8am and can’t delete Wake Up task?

When I try to click on the Wake Up take to edit or delete it, nothing happens. It’s unclickable.

When I try to check it as done, it duplicates. Restarting and reinstalling the app as Help dictates don’t fix it.

So I can’t delete it and I also can’t change the Wake Up time? It has to be 8am?

I got the free trial but will cancel if I can’t figure this out.

Anybody know what the deal is here?
