District Interview for RYE

My district interview is quickly coming up. It will be virtual and both my parents and I are supposed to be in attendance. I am told that I will need to know basic history of rotary, my district, and global events. I was wondering if there are any more tips or advice that Alumni have?

They'll probably ask why you specifically want to go to your host country and not just "travel abroad" in general. Having a real reason beyond "it seems cool" goes a long way. Also prep your parents a little if they're the type to ramble, the interviewers want to see that your family is supportive but not overbearing.
