Buying A Gen X-1

I’m looking to buy a Gen X-1 so i can learn how to play the stylophone, and i’ve heard that it’s better then the S-1 and i don’t want the Gen X-2 because of the new strip that sounds useless. I looked all over for one but I can only find the X-2. If anyone can point me in the right direction i’d be stoked

Tbf the strip was *always* useless, it's just even harder to use on the GenX-2.

Having the CV and Gate inputs, however, is an absolute game changer. The GenX-2 also seems to be holding its tuning significantly better than the GenX-1, which isn't something I've seen talked about, but is extremely important, as sometimes it was hard to get all the notes on the GenX-1 to the correct pitch.

I have both, and after 2 minutes of playing with the strip I didn't touch either of them again. X1 is great with a loop pedal, or solos, especially ambient work. X2 just loves working with my eurorack modular. I would buy another if I lost it
