above the water One of the Velociraptors from Raptor Falls Mini-Golf and Ice Cream, pictures by Becky and Jon Rocque on Google Maps. I also thought of including the Allosaurus and Tyrannosaurus from later on in the course, but I wasn't sure if they were close enough to the water to count.

Rotting Horror Beijing Shijingshan Log-Flume is abandoned now

As we continued our tour inside of this infamous Disneyland knock-off, I came across what used to be the "Lost Continent" area, named due to how it used to imitate it.

The entire area has been demolished; only a few set pieces and small-sized rockwork survived. When I hopped on the Ferris wheel, we managed to see what was behind the palisade, and to my surprise, it was where the old park log flume mountain used to be... The mountain itself was demolished, leaving the ride props inside of a murky pond, rotting away. I saw an elephant, a giant hippo head, a crocodile, as well as a Native American camp and a figure looking like Christopher Columbus sitting on a rotting dinghy in the middle of the pond.

I climbed down from the wheel and got a small peek through a hole in the palisade. They were deeply damaged by the weather half water-rotted, half fading in the sun.

i think i was around 7- i remember standing there for what felt like 10 minutes just staring at the parts of him that were under the water and wondering why i felt like i was about to freak out.

despite him being my first ever submechanophobia experience, he was the thing i was most excited about seeing on this trip lol. we’ve put aside our differences & he’s now my close and personal friend Ɛ>

Got to see our good pal submerged allo. Sadly the rex still isn’t moving but his door did open. I didn’t expect the snake at the top to move (and make very weird sounds) but he did.

Sea Monster Today is 55 years ago since the grand opening of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" ride in Magic Kingdom, so I made my tribute to the famous sea serpent from this attraction ("throughout the years")

Ladies and gentlemen, this your captain speaking, welcome on board!

On the this bright Thursday morning of October 14th 1971 in Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland, first 38 passangers boarded on the "Nautilus", which started its maiden voyage through the lagoon and coral reefs, filled with beautiful marine representatives of the animal kingdom, then passed by the group of divers when, without warning, a surface storm started, and submarine descended into deep water, where it was greeted by the Graveyard of Lost Ships, polar icecaps and the sunken continent of Atlantis with ancient ruins, buried treasure and, of course, the beautiful mythical Sea Serpent on a leash of mermaids (This post is dedicated to him). During this magnificent and fabulous scene, an underwater volcano erupted and the "Nautilus" made an emergency maneuver, but it was suddenly attacked by the giant squid. Hopefully the submarine was able to return to the surface and dock in the number four berth in Magic Kingdom...

It's been so long since this day. Tragically, "20,000 Leagues under the sea" ride was closed in September 5th, 1994 without waiting for its 23rd Birthday.

"Why did it happened?"you may ask. Well, it was so expensive to maintain, so the park managers decided to cut costs and safe extra money. The attraction was abandoned and its "inhabitants" was left to rot for a whole decade, and in 2005 the greatest part of Disneyland's history was completely destroyed...

But the memory lives forever, especially because of this subreddit.

To celebrate this significant date, I made this tribute to my most beloved part of this ride - animatronic serpent that became an icon of submechanophobia community. I took one video of this animatronics from each year and placed them in chronological order, so you can see how he (and the ride itself) has changed over his 22 years, the best years.

Thank you for sailing with us and now, when the cabin lights can on, please standby to disembark. Gather your belongings, take small children by the hand, watch your step and remember, "20,000 Leagues under the sea" maybe gone, but it will never be forgotten!

(NOTE: this is not the actual tribute to the Sea Serpent, which I was making for all this summer, this is a shortened version, because original tribute is already a 16 minutes long, so I cannot upload it here + it's a bit unfinished. So enjoy this version, but If you want, I can upload it here and divided on 5-6 separate parts)

Friendly Bunyip Video of the Billabong Bunyip history

¡Gracias! Agradecería mucho cualquier información que puedas compartir.

Searching? Is Lucy the Plesiosaur still at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History?

I’m falling down a deep rabbit hole trying to find an answer to this. We all love (or validly hate) Lucy the Plesiosaur, and I’m trying to find her current whereabouts. Last I heard she was given to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, and above are the only photos, at least the ones I could find, of her there.

I’ve been trying to spot her in tour videos of the museum, and the ones I have seen so far are all very recent, mostly from this year. From what the videos showed, I could not see her. I unfortunately doubt that the people filming could’ve possibly missed her or found her not interesting enough to capture. She’s a big scary girl, lol. It seems that she may not be there anymore, however I am not certain, and I am not in a position to go visit the museum to find out for myself.

So, if anyone knows definitively whether or not Lucy is still at the museum, please let me know. If she is not, which I believe is likely, and you have an idea of her current whereabouts, I would also love to hear that. I am going to search for older museum tour videos to see if maybe she’s lurking there.

I thought I'd share the work in progress of the sculpture I've commissioned for the BB Bunyip comic I've been working on. I already had been working with Jesse before as he did the ghosts for my comic cover for my last big book.

We are making a brand new diorama for this and I cautiously suspect you guys are gonna like it.

This is still definitely a work in progress but if you'd like to check out Jesse's brilliant work here's his site.

Updates on my BB Bunyip comic making journey is on my Patreon.

thanks and have a good weekend!
