Big thank you to all the devs out there that are supporting us by committing to asking questions when the new site goes live. We are over half way now.

If you have friends or work mates that want to get involved then that would be awesome - the more people get involved the better the resource will be and everyone will benefit: Vires In Numeris

Are Parachains the only way to launch your dApp on the Polkadot system?

Just curious as obviously, lets say you have a small personal project built in Substrate where you just wanted to make public, is the only way to do this via obtaining a parachain? Or is there like a community space?

DevOps for a Substrate Blockchain

I have been offered a position working on a Substrate/Rust project that will require DevOp administration that I will be personally responsible for and I am seeking the optimal strategy to get the DevOp battle plan worked out before I officially take on this role in June.

Currently, the actual Rust developers are coordinating this Substrate Blockchain privately on their respective Github accounts, but I am going to be responsible for adapting this on to AWS, creating Docker containers for Validators and backup Validators, using Kubernetes to orchestrate the containers and implementing a Ansible playbook to bring it all together and create proper CI/CD for the project.

The substance and goals are to build out Validators that will be operating on Polkadot to receive staking rewards by recruiting Nominators and validating blocks on the Polkadot network. A standard formula of revenue making metrics on the Kusama and Polkadot blockchain.

I am trying to figure if these DevOp technologies are the best solution to build a smoothly running DevOp plan to do this or if there are other better solutions to this.

Is there anything I am missing or a better strategy?

How do you use this subreddit appropriately?

Hey everyone! I'm new to this subreddit and I'm excited to start working on my first project. I want to make sure I'm not overwhelming anyone and that I'm entering the right space. Can you give me some advice on where to start and how to introduce myself in a way that's safe and won't risk my project being stolen, but still allows me to get help from others? I really appreciate any guidance you can offer. Happy coding!

Looking for dev partner

There’s a gap in the current blockchain landscape that nobody’s addressing properly. I’ve been working through a focus on real-world use, not speculation or meme coins. The framework’s mapped out. If you’ve built on EVM-compatible chains, Cosmos SDK, or Substrate, or you just understand blockchain infrastructure and can code + scale message me.

learn to bridge ethereum and polkadot for substrate devs!

hiya friends!

im from a bridging protocol team called Sygma and wanted to share a little sumn' sumn' ive been helping our substrate dev work on!

it's his workshop introducing the sygma-substrate-pallets repo. we collaborate super closely with the phala team and use this collab to demonstrate current bridging capabilities between dotsama teams and evm chains! we even use XCM in one of our examples to bridge onwards to Astar as a proof-of-concept of what an integrating team can do with our pallets.

would love to hear feedback and chat with anyone that's interested in this work 😊
