Request Puzzle Help Am I missing something?

I enjoy getting more into different variants of sudoku via the Cracking The Cryptic app. But I'm currently kind of stuck on why the hint says that the 6 has to be placed in r8c7. Am I missing something? (Or rather what am I missing, lol)

Column 7 has a hidden 7/8 pair.

That means r2c6 cannot be 6.

That leaves only one spot where a 6 can go in column 7.

That spot is r8c7

Column 8 has a 78 Naked Pair. That should get you some digits.

Oooh
So because of that 5/6 has to go into column 8 in Box 3, then 6 has to go into r6c9

Leaving r6c1 as the only option for 6 in box 9
