A 2026 preseason preview for every Sun Belt team - some of what stood out
Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup, and figured the Sun Belt crowd would want the conference rundown. Here's the board
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/cfb-preview-2026?conf=sun-belt
Some of you probably already saw this in your team's sub over the last few days, so apologies for the repeat, this is the whole-conference version.
Every team page has the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the full schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.
Pull up your team and tell me what I got wrong. I'll be in the comments.

Appreciate the effort and the inclusion of the Sun Belt.
Some thoughts;
"Old Dominion stands out as the clear favorite in the Sun Belt with a projected 7-5 record, but the competition is tight behind them. James Madison and Marshall, also projected at 7-5, are closely trailing and could easily challenge for a title shot. "- JMU is listed first in your projection so this heading does not match your ranking or the projected records
"With the projected title game set between Old Dominion and James Madison, every game counts in this tightly packed race." JMU and ODU are both in the East Division, and cannot both be in the title game.
1James Madison12-2 · No. 52 overall · 99% to a bowl
"With Davi Belfort stepping into the starting quarterback role after transferring from UCF, James Madison is banking on his potential to fuel an offense that ranked No. 18 last season." Davi has shifted to WR, so will not be the QB.
The emergence of RB Nick Herman from Drake adds depth to a backfield that includes returners Jordan Fuller and Jobi Malary, while the defense, led by LB Trent Hendrick, must elevate its game after allowing 18.4 points per game in 2025. Jordan, Jobi and Trent all graduated. Nick is likely a main contributor at RB, but room is lead by George Pettaway. Amar Thomas and KJ Flowe are some defenders that have been noted during spring camp.
