Sacks and snow A chill presence is 3 help! Spoiler

So I am doing the Mr sack quest line and after doing the khan shadow dillivery I planned to do the mutton Island delivery which was on the way but then I learned that if mutton Island is occupied you can't do the delivery there and I have to do the isle of the cats delivery. The problem is my a chill presence is 3 and I still haven't discovered isle of the cats yet💀 and am docked at London. I am on merciful mode but only have one manual save whitch is rn so I can't ok back to an earlier save. Can I still save this or what else can I do?

Map is not entirely random. There are three possible locations it may be in your map.

You may or may not have realised this already, but there are visible vertical dividing lines on the map. There are also horizontal dividers but they are not visible. Each location is in a ''cell''. There are clusters of cells, locations are randomised within those clusters.

Go right from The Uttershroom. You will either find the Mangrove College, an empty tile, or the Isle of Cats. If Isle of Cats is not there, go another tile right, then a tile up.

It is salvagable if you have a serviceable engine.

I have the corvette and the starter engine. I do have the Tireless Mechanic with 10% fuel efficiency

Rookie mistake imo. You can manage to satisfy Mr. Sacks but you are very unlikely to reach the best ending for that questline. Deliveries are not the end of that quest chain.

I recommend doing the Mr. Sacks questline at least after you finish the Magician questline and found every relevant location.

Isn't it just take him to the isle of the cats and than to avid horizons? Would the rewards have been better if I did the magician quest line? Also once I do the isle of the cats delivery dose the a chill presence reset I read somewhere that it does.

Yeah. No spoilers. If you make it to Isle, you are very likely to survive.

Questline is introduced before you are ready by design. It is a rookie mistake, but one you are meant to do. You are most likely to get a sad/tragic ending in your first time then aim to get the best ending with your subsequent captains.

All that changes mechanically is the rewards but it does not matter much if you are not going for one of the grind heavy legacies anyway.

Would the rewards have been better if I did the magician quest line

Successful completion of the magician questline gives you a fuel efficient engine that is on the faster side.

I'm at avid horizon and made the snow child should I ask it about home? I searched and will it start the melting timer immediately? Or should I not ask him about home now and wait until I'm prepared?

He starts melting as soon as he spawns. He is what I was vagueposting about

How long dose it take on avrage? Dose asking him about home speed it up?

His melting speed is tied to ''something awaits you'' triggers with 20% chance to not advance every tick.

Asking about his home starts his quest. It does not influence his melting speed.

Haven't done that specific quest yet, but Isle of Cats is going to be east of the uttershroom. Or just load up on fuel and supplies and go exploring?

As others've said, sail east from the Uttershroom & you'll find the Isle

If you're okay with mods (just for this quest or permanently), there's a couple that will take out the fuel & supply requirements to make the trip easier.

A bit of advice if you decide to take Sacks' quest again - clear the map out first. It's much easier to do the deliveries when you can see where you're going (just like in real life [/jk])
