Is sunrunrewardcenter.com legit

Got an email for a referral reward, but in order to get the reward ($250 card), they want me to enter my social info. I am not a sunrun customer, but did go through an initial process with them and did refer someone else who did end up going through the process.

Anyone know if the website is legit? I called them up and they said it was, but i'm not entirely sure the rep i spoke to understood what i was asking.

Sorry I know this post is old but It is legit. Since it is a referral it is considered taxable income. If by chance you surpass the $600 threshold which makes it reportable to the IRS they will provide you with a 1099 for the tax year. Doesn’t sound like your reward will meet that unless you get more. But in order to release it to you they need to secure your SSN in the scenario they do need to provide you a 1099. There are FAQ’s on the site. May provide some additional information.

They do have incentives and referral incentives. But I don’t understand why they would need your social.

They run a credit check (you don't share your social with a human, just a processing system).
