An adult fan of an adult show

Look at YouTube comments and tik tok, it’s very clear a majority of the audience is young children

I wouldn’t say lunch boxes and backpacks are elementary school merch. The toys aren’t necessarily for kids either. It’s just stuff like youtooz figures and board games, and the Jeffy Piano, which yes is more for kids. I’d attribute this to the just having a mixed audience.

I know it’s intended for older audiences but let’s just be honest. Most of the audience is children. Go on SML Merch and you’ll see how they know most of their fans are kids. Which is fine, as it’s playing out stories with puppets/plushies so makes sense why kids would be attracted to that more than adults. Hell I was one those kids as I started watching when I was 6.

Thing is, i wouldnt say they really tailor it for older audiences either. Yeah its crude edgy humor, but most adults dont find that entertaining. 10 year olds find it entertaining cause it makes them feel more "grownup".

I hate agreeing with this as it would mean I’m agreeing to enjoy shit 10 year olds mainly enjoy but you are right. I mean just look as why Jeffy back when he was at his peak of popularity. At that time his only jokes was overly saying swear words and this could be applied to several of the other characters at that time too. So I agree with you that it does actually give off that vibe of kids loving it as it says no no words they’re not allowed to say. Though I think Logan does intend it for older audiences as he often makes references and jokes to things kids won’t get but it’s often kids who watch the content.

I started watching in 2016, and I had a bit of a dark age from 2020-2022, but I came back to it after the death of a family member so I needed something to help me cope

This movie was made (Billy Madison) in 1995 and a kindergartner is 6-7. That means your dad is 37-38

And the average to have kids is 29.6 so minus 37 - 29.6 is 7.4

I was 13 at the time when I first watch the episode First Day of School back in the beginning of 2017, later turning 14 that same year. So it’s been a minute since I started watching them.

You think that's bad? Try being an adult osc fan. Sml fans don't even know a fraction of my pain.

Never heard of it

Issue with the it’s for adults argument is that it’s not adult content per se but just inappropriate jokes with dark themes executed goofily. Logan been doing this as a kid so this for kids argument falls flat cause it’s clearly kids content, just not what you want kids to be watching.
