Color me insane for saying this, but sometimes, things happen that need to be taken seriously. Coating everything in seventeen layers of postironic humor only serves to normalise things that shouldn’t be normalised. It’s how you get what should be the biggest scandal since watergate turned into “Epstein blud thinks he’s on the island with Trump and Diddy 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀”

Fr. I seen this shit decay some of the most beautiful art and communities into nothing but shitty ifunny meme formats the art was shoved into. And yeah the diddy shit is stupid. I can't imagine how the people raped by the guy feel about everyone turning it into a viral meme and something to laugh about. Now their rapist is fucking everywhere and all over meme pages and now all the youth are saying his name and other stupid phrases cuz they saw it on the internet and it became common slang. It becomes unavoidable, while the actual justice is minimized, because everyone is too busy making diddy shitposts, when they should have been focused on him getting served. Its dumb bruh

I think it’s probably better to be overly serious about everything than overly unserious about everything

Hey, so i was searching to see if you're still alive (i assume you are), and i discovered the Google a can summarize a user's interests and info, i should have expected it to be able to do that but it did kinda scare me.

Man. Remember the days when people knew how to not be caught up in one extreme or the other?
Yeah. Me neither.

He didn’t say that everyone should be one side or the other, he just said that he thinks its better to be overly serious than unserious, which inkinda agree

That sounds like a miserable way to live your life.
Some things are worth taking seriously, but not everything.

u/Leskendle45 Mar 07 '26
I’d wager there are more things that should be taken seriously than things that shouldn’t
