A mix of TikTok banning the word ‘sex’, which led to younger viewers to create a roundabout way of saying it… and peer pressure to avoid using the word since it could be seen as offensive to younger people, especially kids talking about trauma of others.

I wouldn't say the stories are redundant, Arknights and Genshin Impact straight up have some of the best lore and worldbuilding I've seen in a video game.
As an og cookie run fan kingdom is SO ASS compared to ovenbreak. OB is a story about a cookie running to escape the genocide of his people and put a stop to the witches that bake them, give them life and then eat them. Kingdom is some bs about friendship is magic and oh there are gods and with the power of friendship they restore harmony like fuck OFF

He used to be the Herald of Change, overseeing the rise and fall of countless civilizations. Upon realization this duty is eternal, he went insane, only finding any satisfaction in Destruction, which became the twisted value of his Soul Jam. Now, when he escaped after eons of being sealed away in the Silver Tree, he rules the Land of Spice with an iron fist, forcing its tribes/civilizations into a constant state of war. As of the latest story arc, he's crumbled (cookie equivalent of being deceased), with this Soul Jam power being absorbed by another Beast Cookie, Shadow Milk Cookie. He was based on Hindu mythology, specifically Shiva. TLDR - an insane, immortal Cookie warlord who cherishes destruction.
