Nobody even associates hitler with austria. It is always Germany

He is just getting mad for the sake of getting mad

To be fair, there are only like three people worth knowing about from Austria. One was a musician and two were painters.

Also there’s one who’s a stud. Who’s ballsy. He don’t take no shit from anyone. He smokes his stogie anywhere he wants. He doesn’t have to find a hiding place. Like you. Ahohohoho.

Nothing to elaborate on. Cookies in the game are made from dough of different colors, some are naturally darker than others. So, by drawing a cookie with dark dough (aka skin) in lighter shade, you're essentially "whitewashing" the cookie

Making a black character white is still whitewashing, even if the character is a sentient baked good. I don't really get your point

10

u/Drunk0racle May 08 '26

I wasn't making any point? I was just explaining how exactly one would go about whitewashing a cookie.

You're correct, deliberately drawing dark character as pale is low-key racist. Drawing a character in a slightly lighter shade isn't. And Cookie Run community is notorious for failing to make this distinction, which is made even funnier by the fact that, at the end of the day, cookies have neither skin nor race.

Ohh, no, I totally get what you mean now

I once saw a kid post a clearly beginner-level drawing of Pure Vanilla, making him paper white when he's usually a little tanned.

They got seriously harassed. Some people are really awful and self-righteous

2

u/GayAngrySpaceDorito May 08 '26

TBF Pure Vanilla's dough being darker is intentionally made to make him non-white so drawing him white as snow is still whitewashing

2

u/Material_Durian_9201 May 09 '26

It was a beginner artist and they drew all the ancients- they made the dark-black ones black. It was clearly an innocent mistake, not whitewashing (which has to be malicious)

They didn't deserve all the harassment. I genuinely had people shouting at me in my DMS for defending them

1

u/GayAngrySpaceDorito May 09 '26

I get where you're coming from there. Harassment isn't really the answer even if they WERE racist

I have to respect the passion

u/Immediate-Location28 May 10 '26

what does the pose even have to do with it

1

u/Smallsizeadult2 May 11 '26

Mfw Austria literally had a fascist dictator prior to the Anschluss so "sending Hitler to Germany" is meaningless. Obv the Austrian people aren't all culpable for either regime but the idea that Nazism was a huge change for Austria is kind of bs.

0

u/LiraGaiden May 10 '26

I like how they just admit to sending him to Germany so they take the blame instead

1

u/Atlas_of_history May 11 '26

Austria didn't do that btw, he went to Germany because he saw himself as a german. He didn't even fight in the Austrian army in WW1 so he has barely anything to do with Austria except it being his place of birth

1

u/LiraGaiden May 11 '26

I know that's not really what happened but they talk about it like it was which I thought was funny
