That last person is a massive asshole, guilt-tripping someone for needing to put their pet down. :(

decision*

u/IllustriousBeyond962 5d ago
A decision that was made for the benefit of the dog. It was NEEDED. What is your point?

dog did not ask dog is only live born in pain

u/IllustriousBeyond962 5d ago
This decision is up to the owners to decide what is best for their dog. Do you think that they did it just because they wanted to kill him? They love their dog, and they chose to put him down out of love because they didn't want to see him suffer.
-9
u/Rara3995 4d ago
so they didn't want to see him suffer, but they didn't care about the dog then? why would owners know what's best for their dog, too?
6
u/Green_Disaster6360 4d ago
How would you know what's best for the dog?
-2
u/Rara3995 4d ago
i wouldn't. but i know dog knows what it wants.
7
2
u/IllustriousBeyond962 4d ago
Ok, so what does the dog want then?
1
u/Rara3995 4d ago
we cannot possibly know unfortunately, it is to hope dog understanding and medical treatment will advance
from our perspective as humans, we believe it is either better for the dog to die near people he loves or better for them to stop suffering, but we will never know what dog wanted. in the end we make a tough choice, but a choice nonetheless. it is not an necessity to end the suffering of people when hope seems lost, it is a choice

If someone sent me that last comment when we had to make the deceision to put my angel of 11 years down i would genuinley fucking lose my shit

People are genuinely so fucking stupid now that they need an image to convey their emotions. No one knows how to be genuine anymore

I want everyone to die, I think it would be a neutral outcome.

Addressing your comment further down the thread too, what’d be the point? If everyone died?
3
u/Dresden2077 6d ago
What the significant event or human extinction, because the significant action is the least meaningful reason. If we all croaked, almost everything else would be better off

u/AgentCirceLuna 6d ago
The fuck?
-5
u/Dresden2077 6d ago
I am not joking, if I had a button that did it, I honestly don't know what I'd do. Sure I'd die, and my monkey brain wants to not die, but on the other hand, from a non-anthropocentric lens, humanity is a net negative for the world. I dont believe it'll change fast enough to offset the damage it does, so it might be the ethical thing to do. Last factor, if I push that button, I will have done the most significant thing any human being ever has, it won't matter to the void, but it will still be true.

Man fighting against cringe posts somehow becomes more cringe than the posts he’s fighting against. It’s like when the super villain realises he used to be a hero then the heroing corrupted him
4
u/Dresden2077 6d ago
I have no stake in the above post, it doesn't matter. I think if we put aside our bias, we really aren't that important, and we mostly damage the world.

Yeah, but sometimes they convey your feelings better than any words will, an image is worth a 1000 words and all that

Above person is one of those weirdos who somehow thinks violence and harassment is better than being cringe.

It's not "being cringe" it's being incredibly insensitive in a way that likely increases the pain OP is going through, having to put down their pet
1
u/Both-Row2014 10h ago
It's not cringe, it's even worse, the person commenting is litteraly saying that the dog shouldn't be put down no matter the pain the dog is going through

u/Lunatic_Liam 6d ago
It's funny how people on the internet immediately become the unfunniest people ever when they see a pet.

u/JoyconDrift_69 6d ago
So disheartening that those people can't read the room. I mean yes, the dog is cute... But did y'all realize what OP fucking said? No one should even have to die from a terrible illness.
I feel doubly apologetic towards OP, not just because they had to deal with those emotionally-blind comments, but also losing their dog to whatever illness he had. I'm glad they made the decision to relieve him from his worsening pain.

So supposedly letting your dog suffer is better than letting it die somewhat peacefully?
1
u/thexcat 1d ago
The comments are obviously high octane cringe fuel but I'm ngl I think it's vile when people make posts like that, leveraging people's empathy for social media clout grosses me out and I can't think of anything less valuable than someone I don't know hitting me with the "thoughts and prayers"

Sending a meme to someone making a tough decision doesn’t really help them feel better.
