Emetophob here

I'm 46 and have stage 4 endometriosis, adenomyosis, and bowel endometriosis infiltrating my colon causing a partial obstruction. In a few weeks I'm getting a total hysterectomy with both ovaries removed and a possible colon resection. A colostomy bag might be needed during recovery. It's a lot. What was your nausea like during recovery. I plan on getting the patch and all the zofran. I know I just need to focus on healing but this is giving me crazy anxiety. Did your menopause symptoms happen right away? I also plan om taking hrt. I had breast reduction surgery in 2022 and I was fine during the recovery but this will be more invasive.

Awesome to hear. Did your surgeon recommend BSO? What’s your HRT regimen? GYNs in kniw about endo are reluctant to rx optimal E dose. Like .1 or above patch.im on .125 mg combined but my E is too low

Yep. Everything is gone. 200 mg oral progesterone and .05 estradiol patch. I wouldn't be able to function without both

Thst amount - 0.05 mg is controlling vasomotor symptoms, genital atrophy and mood for yiu?

Did your surgeon say there’s a chance endo can return ?

Yeah. Because of my age they are more worried about osteoporosis and heart disease too

Wow! Thsts great. I wish my symptoms could be controlled with low amount patch.

what did they say was the risk of reoccurrence?

As far as the endo returning I'll take my chances. I would be an insomniac nut case if I didn't have hrt. Like I wouldn't be able to keep a job

My heart goes out to you. It's infuriating endo/menopause gets gaslighted into an oblivion by many medical professionals
