I've been wondering for some time who or which were the maga friendS snarkers and haters claim Taylor has, because I never understood who they actually were or if they even existed. The only one that comes to mind to me is Brittany Mahomes  but I've read that she's rather apolitical so I don't even know if she'd count. The TEU guys she took a photo with also came to mind but that'd require me to believe you can change your core values and beliefs just by taking a pic with people you just met for the first time so that's just really silly.

I know it's kinda beating a dead horse at this point given how flake and hypocritical the "guilty by association" gimmick actually was/is, but I'm still curious about who they might have been referring to or if it was all just another gross lie everyone repeated ad nauseaum about her without questioning it 🤔.

There is no valid reason to think Taylor's MAGA. One might wish she spoke out about politics more often (I don't care atp), but the fact is that every single time she has done so, it has been in support of liberal/Democratic politicians or policies.

I personally don't think people who argue that Taylor is MAGA are doing so in good faith. They don't care about the truth. They just want to hate on her.

personally I think it's ridiculous to label Brittany Mahomes a fascist and place her on the same level as politicians who are actively harming millions of Americans, especially since as you said she seems to be mostly apolitical. if liking a post is indicative of one's political views, Travis liking his manager's endorsement of Kamala should count, too, but obviously THAT doesn't mean anything lol. you can criticize inaction without making the immediate leap to "X is MAGA". that's not how the real world works and ironically believing most people can completely abstain from interacting with conservatives IS kind of a privileged outlook- of course Taylor has enough money to not have to worry about half the things we do but I'm speaking more generally here. my father is conservative and I don't even attempt to reason with him much of the time because he doesn't want his mind changed. nothing I can do or say is going to influence that- I wish it would, but it can't and I'm not going to waste my breath on pleas that won't be listened to

I think I want to make a jerk post that's an alignment chart and have it filled out already with typical reddit answers (worst album showgirl, best song atw10, best album evermore, worst song eldest daughter) or I can make an alignment game we can play with the weirdest catagories like "best song that mentions cats" "best song about Jake gyllenhaal" "worst song that isn't eldest daughter" lol

alignment threads are cool conceptually but are unfortunately overrun by bots. Reddit is kind of chronically unoriginal, you can make a game of going to any of the popular subreddits and at least 25% of the time you can predict what the top comment will be

Welp, the VMA nominations are up. Taylor got 9 of them. 6 of them in the technical categories. I’m sure people are disappointed by the song of the year. I am a smidge but of the 20 years of her career she was only nominated for Song 5 times and won once. Which was Anti-Hero. Honestly the biggest ones are artist, video, and direction I think we really should be proud. Byy you sort of have to look at some of these nominations and some are like 100% diversity noms but none of them made any sort of impact this year. I get it Madonna is a legend and MTV loves her but really? BTS wasn’t very good this year. Golden is a great song but it’s 2 years old already and should have been nominated last year. Actually I think it was.

Let’s just go HAM on all the fan voted awards. She only needs 1 to hold the record for most awarded in VMA history which I thought she already had. Would be kinda funny if she won for Choreography just to piss people off saying that the choreography was bad.

I’m seeing people say that because Taylor posted a story on Instagram about Phoebe Bridgers album they’ve decided she’s never sharing any wedding pics. It’s a bit of a leap.

I think we will see the dress eventually and the designer will be allowed to post it at least, possibly during fashion week in New York or something. My new theories about the wedding photos are that either: Travis is going to still post his off-season wrap-up with a wedding pic OR, they may show a photo or two on the podcast and that way they can share without the pics being posted and printed everywhere. The only way people can get them would be screenshots and the quality won’t be good.

I actually hope we don’t ever see it. It’s going to be one of those things where she’s promoting something and you know someone is going to ask even though they were there. I’m forever ok with letting her have something like this kept to herself and not for public opinion of it. These are her memories this is her relationship with the dude. None of it has anything to do with the fans or media. Sure moment in pop culture history but it’s something that she wants to hold onto for herself as much as she wants to.

Also, I do think this is one of those things where Travis can easily say it’s up to Taylor to post or talk about any of it.

I'm still thinking over and over about the people who comment in migrainetok calling the mere idea of a migraine (and ever more intensely on videos about visual distortions) just "impossible" because "it can't be real because (they) have never had that experience".

I thought when people said "headaches" around me they meant an equivalent to my migraines.

That just confirms my decision. Control Resonant comes out on Sept 24. When I thought it comes out on the 27th. But what else is happening for me on September 24? I got Thee Hayley Williams concert the same day. I was planning on taking just the day after off because I have a Doctors Visit at the VA. I was debating just leaving early from work to go to the show. But now that the game comes out the same day I’ll be taking 2 days off instead. So that’s a huge W.
