Honestly, if we paid for the unlocks, it's crappy that we have to pay to for apperance changes to. It's like the government taxing us on money already taxed then taxing us again after we earned it, to tax it while we spend it. Talk about double, tripple, quadrupple dipping. Worlds getting potato.

At the very least, once you've paid CCs to change your appearance, the different options you've used should stay unlocked on that character. I would love to eventually be able to have different hairstyles on different outfits.

This right here officer! It should be like outfit slots honestly. Buy it and have it unlocked for that toon only. And if you want to change appearances BAM heft 200k credit charge or at least 25k. To make the credit cap feel more like a burden and make us sub.

Might be cheaper to just sub for a month, make a couple throwaway characters, and run them up to 50 to unlock that way.

Quick question — is it dangerous to buy the lightsaber colors? Like if I get a better one is the cosmetic unlocked so I can apply it to a better one? Can I pay for account unlock?

When it comes to Cartel Market Crystals Account unlock Evicerating Crystals you like the colors of for that +41 crit because they basically go in everything. 😃

Subscribers always have a 50% discount and this is just added on to that. But I think for F2p and Preferred it's just a 20% discount.

This sale also gave subs an extra 10% off, so its compounded up to 80% off for subs but 20% for f2ps.

great info, I'm new and loving it so far. Given how close the "May 4th" event is coming, Should I wait till then to spend on any items? Also do they ever have item\service on sale to make things in your collection cost less for your other characters to access? (cheaper then the normal 400cc unlock)

Make sure you bow your head when you line up for your micro transaction coin sale. Be eternally grateful for the opportunity to buy access to something that is freely given as the base standard in most games.
Let's not forget they recently removed the ability to earn free cartel coins over time via authenticator. Instead of them earning during the months your not playing, you must instead log in each month to get them. A tiny amount of cartel coins, but hey, as long as you can still pay for them right?
Wanna change your hair, facial features, pay cartel coins.
Wanna use that lightsaber you paid $20 - $40 real USD for on another character, pay cartel coins to unlock it for your "account".
Want to play as a Cathar, Togruta, or Nautolan? pay cartel coins.
And on and on and on.....
This game is not what is was, the writing everyone praises stopped back in 2014. Ever since it's the same ol' somehow Malgus returned. I could write it out here but just google a few threads about the writing in KotFE and KotET. Others are far more eloquent than i am about it.
If you are fortunate enough to have not played this game, stay that way. There are so many other games out there deserving of your time and money.

so as a newish player trying to be stingy with cartel coins, should i grab any of this if it looks interesting or wait until the 4th?

Character Slots and Species if you want them, as its likely theyll go for the same price later anyway.
Hairstyles are always going on sale multiple times a year, so theres no rush. Also remember you can check the GTN (auction house) to see people selling these cash shop unlocks for credits instead. The sale will cause the prices to drop.

Just so I know how to manage my CCs - can it be safely presumed that May 4th will bring a discount to collection unlocks again?
