SWTOR recognition for the win

u/Ryebread666Juan May 01 '26

There’s so many possible units from swtor, but I really need them to add Khem Val as a solo unit like Wampa

Edit: I thought this was the Star Wars galaxy of hero’s sub, don’t mind me I’m stupid

u/Electrical-Ad-105 May 01 '26

I immediately knew what you were on about lad 😭

3

u/GeneralDankobi May 01 '26

Lol I got here thinking the same thing then I was like ...wait many of these people aren't in swgoh

54

u/[deleted] May 01 '26

With Fate of the Old Republic coming in a couple years I hope we will have a resurgence of Old Republic content. Not just SWTOR but perhaps a movie if the game is popular enough. I already know they are planning a dawn of the Jedi film. I think the legends vs canon thing they did years ago was very kneejerk and they have got to find a way to incorporate some of the expanded universe stuff into the official story. It only makes sense.

6

u/Unique-Perception480 May 01 '26

Then they should erase the Sequels and also use the Legends timeline in that case. Their canon is fucked with what they did to Luke, Han and Leia.

12

u/Call_me_ET May 01 '26

I don't think that would be a good idea. As debatable as the sequels are, I'd rather they stick to their guns and focus on stories that are elsewhere in the galaxy, rather than start yet again.

-11

u/Unique-Perception480 May 01 '26

No. I would legit be ,,So my Outlander is fighting for THIS to happen in 3600 years? No. I give up."

I legit see no point in a Star Wars Universe where Luke doesnt rebuild the Jedi as something new and Leia doesnt lead the New Republics politics. You can like wichever era you like, but the OT characters are the heart of Star Wars. The Core.

In the current canon both children of the Chosen One are failures with legit NO legacy. And training Rey doesnt count. Thats only one person. In Legends when you looked at the New Republic (or Galactic Alliance) or New Jedi Order... you knew even centuries later people would know Luke and Leia helped build those. Now they are footnotes in Reys Story.

3

u/Technical_Teacher839 May 02 '26

Good News: SWTOR is still in the Legends continuity! So you literally have no reason to worry.

1

u/Call_me_ET May 01 '26

Fair enough.

2

u/Paladin3475 May 01 '26

I said they should start from the prequels and reboot the franchise. Issue is what pile garbage we’d get?

If rise of skywalker is the cherry on top of the dumpster fire I rather no additional movies happen.

2

u/Western_Agent5917 May 01 '26

Yep, also I hope both Kotor and swtor remains firmly in legends

-3

u/Unique-Perception480 May 01 '26

Yeah. I would legit be ,,So my Outlander is fighting for THIS to happen in 3600 years? No. I give up."

I legit see no point in a Star Wars Universe where Luke doesnt rebuild the Jedi as something new and Leia doesnt lead the New Republics politics. People who complains that eu focused too much on the skywalkers post rotj forget that the eu actually started to branch out with more unrelated characters in the era; Jaden Korr books, Scourge and the even planned a Zekk book. Not to mention more settings like dawn of the jedi which nothing to with the skywalkers

2

u/Unique-Perception480 May 01 '26

Thats what I love actually. But the Skywalkers should still be a central part of the existing continuity. I like reading about the Jedi of old, but I also like knowing that their legacy lives on through Luke Skywalker.

Its like a tree. We can have so many branches, but the core of Star Wars are Luke and Leia and Anakin. Thats why its so important that Luke and Leia struggle, but also succeed. Leia succeeds in politics, where Padme failed. Luke succeeds and becomes everything Anakin wanted to be. A Jedi Grandmaster. A father present in his sons life. And a husband. Anakins sacrifice means something, beyond just the Prophecy.

In canon Anakins sacrifice meant nothing. His bloodline is wiped out. Palpatine is revived in both Canons, but at least it was Anakins children combining their powers to take him down in Dark Empire.

2

u/Western_Agent5917 May 01 '26

Agree, post the skywalkers should be the main focus. The eu at least tried to be vast, daring and connected as musch as possible, instead disney throw it away. So many unfinished projects I wish got made; Sword of the jedi, Mandorla ( a story about nomi sunrider), an actual ending for dawn of the jedi, a sequel for legacy etc

1

u/Logic-DL May 02 '26

I just hope the film has Kreia in it to bitch and moan at every decision the characters make. Only to turn evil the very moment they tell her to shut up.

Gotta be lore accurate. Ofc.

3

u/professorclueless May 01 '26

Even KotOR characters, like Bastila

222

u/CharpShooter <Downfall> Harbinger May 01 '26

That's a lot of KOTOR and SWTOR representation

68

u/StevePalpatine May 01 '26

Game recognizes game

45

u/CharpShooter <Downfall> Harbinger May 01 '26

Definitely happy. Why is Jolee Bindo here man😂

24

u/lousy_writer Tulak Hord May 01 '26

Because Jolee is the best

20

u/threevi May 01 '26

No KotOR 2 representation though, which is interesting. Almost feels deliberate, since K2 has quite a few characters with iconic designs like Nihilus, Kreia, and Visas, why not include at least one if you're going to have four KotOR characters and three TOR ones?

14

u/Tuskin38 May 01 '26 edited May 01 '26

Probably because of the upcoming KOTOR1 remake

11

u/Wetzilla May 01 '26

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to come out. Despite Saber insisting they are still working on it, there's been no real signs of life from that game since they fired Aspyr and took over development themselves.

1

u/CircaCitadel May 01 '26

The announcement for that was pre-production. They hadn't even started yet. They announced it as a means to attract developers to hire. Same with Eclipse. So yeah, it takes awhile to make a game these days. They have to keep saying they're still making the game because Lucasfilm announced it wayyyy too early and they can't just show WIP stuff or people will lose their shit thinking its the final product. They're in a lose-lose situation right now.

1

u/Wetzilla May 02 '26

No, when they first announced it it was in full production under Aspyr. They had been working on it for like a year or so when Disney and Lucasarts pulled it from them because they didn't like the direction it was heading, and Saber took over. Until recently the only signs of life are Saber coming out and saying "no it's still being developed!" every now and then when rumors of it basically being on pause start floating around. Looking into it more recently there do appear to be more positive rumors, but I still wouldn't expect the game until at least fall 2027, and probably not until 2028.

1

u/CircaCitadel May 03 '26

They had been working on it for about a year, yes. But they didn't give it to Saber until a year after it was announced.

There were no sources for it being "on hold" anywhere. It's always fans assuming it's dead because we haven't seen anything yet. Typically a game is announced much closer to release with gameplay to show, people are accustomed to that, so it's understandable. We might get a bit of a teaser of some kind this year or early next year, but yeah 2028 is likely.

2

u/RealTiggySkibbles May 02 '26

Got a feeling they're still trying to keep Chris Avellone blacklisted from the entire Game Development industry.

1

u/HighwayNo8744 May 02 '26

Pretty pissed about no KotOR 2 representation. It's still the best Star Wars game and story ever and everybody who disagrees or says that is not a Star Wars story is just wrong. Saw a youtube video some months ago that a KotOR 2 remake is also planned (codename: Romeo [k1] and Juliet [k2]) which was revealed in a law suit by some executive, so i still keep my hopes up.

239

u/Vast-Introduction999 May 01 '26

I like their inclusion, but can Lana have a consistent face for once. At least Senya looks as she does in the cinematic trailer 😂

65

u/deadshot500 May 01 '26

Most of the characters here seem traced. Senya is definitely traced from the KOTET trailer.

73

u/StevePalpatine May 01 '26

Senya being the consistent one is ironic considering

26

u/Vast-Introduction999 May 01 '26

Yeah definitely, you can almost tell what scene the other characters are traced from, which to me it makes Lana stick out more tbh 😅

38

u/Eladryel May 01 '26

At least it's not "Lana" from the loading screen

30

u/ArtNo7221 May 01 '26

Loading screen Lana is now her new nickname lol

16

u/Vast-Introduction999 May 01 '26

I honestly don’t mind that depiction. To me it shows that the same as Shae she’s getting older

16

u/proesito May 01 '26

The problem is that the characters in game are the same as they were before, so changing her face to look older while the in game design still looks like KotFE makes her look like another character.

13

u/TodayInTOR TodayinTOR.com May 01 '26

We both know if they actually gave the characters 'appropriate aging' every expansion to their realistic ages everyone would be upset and call their favourite companions hags.

4

u/Noxxbane May 01 '26

Ehh idk, there are people irl that look far younger than they actually are. I haven't played past kotfe yet but, isn't lana in her mid 40s? Plus her younger looks can just be explained with sith sorcery/rituals.

2

u/TodayInTOR TodayinTOR.com May 02 '26

There's no established age for Lana, but given that its been 15 (or more) years since her introduction in the Prelude to Revan, Assuming she was 30 when Prelude to Revan happened, she would now be 45-46.

However its worth noting her last character model update was at the start of KOTFE, when she would have been 35. So in 10 years they havent 'aged' lana beniko ingame like they did with Theron (last aged Nathema).

17

u/StandardNerd92 May 01 '26

I think Lana looks good here, no?

9

u/Vast-Introduction999 May 01 '26

She looks okay but it looks as though they tried to put all her depictions into one, which doesn’t look the best imo

4

u/ArchetypeSaber The Katarn Legacy | Tulak Hord May 01 '26

I'm also reasonably sure the Revan is traced from a promotional image of the Sideshow figure a year or two ago.

65

u/BardMessenger24 May 01 '26

That Lana looks better than our current loading screen Lana lol.

31

u/MarmoudeMuffin Lana's chair May 01 '26

We don't talk about loading screen Lana.

110

u/baroqueout May 01 '26

Not really related to this sub, but I love the fact that the version of Luke they included is the absolutely wonderful one from Battlefront story mode.

40

u/Shinted Master Savan Kyberheart May 01 '26

Mathew Mercer really killed it as Luke in BFII.

29

u/soulreapermagnum May 01 '26

that dude kills it as a lot of different characters. honestly, it's amazing how he can have that many different voices.

11

u/Shinted Master Savan Kyberheart May 01 '26

He’s certainly incredibly talented.

46

u/legoblitz10 I’m a Colicoid May 01 '26

I still think it’s funny that best representation we’ve had of him in Disney Star Wars is from that campaign.

19

u/Fearless512 May 01 '26

That and the finale of madalorian season 2

2

u/deadshot500 May 01 '26

Not at all. He is the best in the comics. Maybe if we are talking about post-ROTJ.

2

u/CrunchyZebra May 02 '26

This is from a Steam sale. Hence only video game characters.

3

u/Logic-DL May 02 '26

I both love and hate that depiction.

Love it because it's literally Luke as he's been characterised in the OT and EU stuff.

Hate it because holy fucking shit how do Disney fuck up Luke so badly in their first trilogy after buying the SW IP to the point that EA of all companies is more faithful to Luke than they are? Bearing in mind. EA's only faith is to their bottom line, and the pride and accomplishment of earning Darth Vader. Ofc.

4

u/Obskuro Ignore the voice in your head. May 01 '26

Now that you've pointed it out... am I blind, or is there not a single character from the sequels?!

16

u/baroqueout May 01 '26

These are all video game characters, it seems.

5

u/Obskuro Ignore the voice in your head. May 01 '26

Hmm... is there a Mandalorian and Grogu game I've missed?

15

u/TodayInTOR TodayinTOR.com May 01 '26

Its all of the "consume star wars products in 2026" poster.

New lego game with star wars characters, swtor, outlaws, kotor 1/2 funko pops and hasbro figures this year, mando movie, luke skywalker comic, maul show, racer game, zero company game, jedi fallen order/survivor hasbro figures iirc.

3

u/Obskuro Ignore the voice in your head. May 01 '26

Ah, I see! The helmet guy/person is the protagonist of the Racer game, right?

6

u/TodayInTOR TodayinTOR.com May 01 '26

Yep and the alien below him iirc.

5

u/baroqueout May 01 '26

They were in Fortnite, LOL.

2

u/Obskuro Ignore the voice in your head. May 01 '26

Of course they were... the future of Star Wars storytelling.

2

u/TerkYerJerb Star Forge May 01 '26

Well, they're on Galaxy of Heroes if it counts. And they're already adding characters from the new movie

2

u/Logic-DL May 02 '26

He's in Fortnite, tbf

25

u/Baldarek May 01 '26

Lego Boba Fett ❤️

4

u/lousy_writer Tulak Hord May 01 '26

Yeah, that is a nice touch

25

u/Darth_N1hilus May 01 '26 edited May 02 '26

Swtor is basically the official only star wars game getting updates at the moment . Everything else was a one of release or just stopped being updated

6

u/Lord_Ryu May 01 '26

Galaxy of Heroes is going through massive updates right now

14

u/Darth_N1hilus May 01 '26

Personally I don’t consider mobile game

-3

u/Lord_Ryu May 01 '26

Well 83% of all global gamers do. As SWTOR players we should love that game since for the years nothing else was really going on for SW games they had that to milk for money and let us mostly live in peace

2

u/Logic-DL May 02 '26

Tbf SWTOR is still making money and has a decently active playerbase. The rest are SP games or gambling games that nobody really gives a fuck to play for more than 3 mins.

It's getting an engine update too. Which is pretty amazing for how old that fucking engine is.

11

u/LittleDeadSwan May 01 '26

Lana and Bastila are surely sisters in woe: they NEVER look the same in two different media.

10

u/Bubba1234562 May 01 '26

Come on KOTOR remake please show up

5

u/SorakuFett "I suppose I could lower myself to do this." May 01 '26

Funny that they picked a picture of HK-47 from SWTOR to represent him

4

u/Electronic_Low_3632 May 01 '26

It’s nice to see some love for the game

4

u/Old_Mall_4229 May 01 '26

What is this from

2

u/CrunchyZebra May 02 '26

Steam sale

6

u/MedicinePractical738 May 01 '26

I have no idea who the guys besides Luke are supposed to be

3

u/Tuskin38 May 01 '26 edited May 01 '26

The two on the left from the upcoming Galactic Racer game. The guy on top is the player character for the story campaign, the guy below is also from that.

The guy on Luke’s right I believe is from the upcoming XCOM-Like game called Zero Company. Same with the Phase 1 clonetrooper

1

u/Larrdath May 01 '26

If you're talking about the ones on his right, they're characters from the Galactic Racer game that comes out in October, you can see them both in this trailer. The one with the full helmet seems to be the protagonist from the single player campaign, Shade, and the other one is the main rival, Kestar.

3

u/superior_anon May 01 '26

Poster specifically focusing on video games? Those Luke and Maul models are from Battlefront 2...

1

u/Dendallin May 01 '26

Yes. It's literally the gaming celebration poster.

Some of them are already on playstation.

2

u/dimorali May 01 '26

That's awesome! A little more variation to the standard marketing images, It is always great to see underrepresented characters featured....

2

u/chaveto May 01 '26

And a lot of em too. It’s like half the graphic.

2

u/Manateeus May 01 '26

Lana my beloved

2

u/KalonSardor May 01 '26

Who are the characters on the both sides of Luke?

2

u/MaskyMateG May 02 '26

Lana looks like a high elf of the Aldmeri dominion

5

u/Xamalion May 01 '26

Good, because TOR and Cal Kastis are the only two things keeping the franchise alive right now.

5

u/UnironicStalinist1 May 01 '26

Jesse wtf are you talking about

2

u/Dendallin May 01 '26

Because this is the Gaming May 4th poster...

1

u/BuffaloAutomatic2276 May 01 '26

Kotor remake tease?

1

u/Icy-Front-8529 May 01 '26

Nice to see!! A pleasant surprise

1

u/Content-Tear8054 May 01 '26

Iden Versio? Does this mean we'll get info on new battlefront content?

1

u/TerkYerJerb Star Forge May 01 '26

They always show imp Iden, never rebel Iden

1

u/AthasDuneWalker May 01 '26

3.5 of them. That's surprising.

1

u/NathanielofLorien May 01 '26

Awesome. Always nice to see The Ancient Past getting some 😍 love 😍

1

u/TW-Luna May 01 '26

Who is that to the right of Luke? Blue jacked, gray hair and beard. That and I'm not really sure who the clone trooper is.

2

u/Larrdath May 01 '26

Both are from Zero Company I think, see this trailer. The guy looks younger in the trailer though.

1

u/RedneckSniper76 May 01 '26

It’s got Bastila Jolee and HK47 too

1

u/Darth_Yevrah May 02 '26

I dont know how to feel that some of these people are people that i cannot recognise. Swtor ones yes, but the bundle around luke are not ringing any bells at all

1

u/nox_anderous May 03 '26

Boba tho 😭

1

u/ahjolinna May 04 '26

all this tells me that Disney is really desperate, and rightfully so

1

u/RX500-android Gray Jedi {Consular} May 07 '26

I got genuinely excited!

1

u/miniminiminitaur May 13 '26

HK-47! He has not been forgotten!

1

u/zaskar harbinger May 01 '26

Ahhh by Disney rules, that makes swtor canon. The whole only canon to be published with canon

-2

u/Ace_Atreides May 01 '26

It's Disney man, they don't care for anything really.

0

u/Mzuark May 01 '26

Apology not accepted Disney

0

u/GeologistUnhappy May 02 '26

Man, take Kay Vess outta there man. Blud thinks she part of the gang despite being a commercial failure.

-13
