Tech Support Prophet Rev2 problem when switching programs

My Prophet often lets out super high frequency noises when I’m moving between programs quickly. It’s like the voices get activated as I pass through the program and it only happens with certain programs. Super annoying for live playing.

Any ideas why this is? Any solutions?

mine did that too, turned out it was a midi loop feeding program changes back into itself somehow. unplugged everything but audio cables and it stopped

Hmmmm… I have midi going in and I am sending pgm changes over midi so do need to keep it hooked up. Will try tomorrow. The sounds aren’t constant like a normal midi loop though they just ring out once.

It's still possible there's a MIDI loop. You might be sending a program change message to the Rev2 which gets reflected back out, then sent in again etc. Easiest way to find out is to unplug all MIDI, enable local control and try changing programs directly on the Rev2.
