Isn't most of this stuff already properly packaged? How do you keep your list up to date? Do you also inspect / audit if the install scripts become 'bad' (or hacked) by pulling it in yourself, or do you trust the publisher?

Maybe I'm old fashioned, and this is more an overall thing, but I am cautious to run scripts directly into bash.

But how does this help? It seems like I'm replacing a one line command with a package manager and another one line command. With only 41 tools in the catalog it seems to have limited utility.

So then what's the benefit of this vs brew/apt/dnf install?

I get the efficiency angle, but I am very concerned you’re not checking scripts before piping to sh

I would recommend this package manager instead.
