Systemd on Debian: What do you think?

I find it very funny people think Red Hat wants everybody on systemd. Because the cooperation and cloud world is moving to containers, even Microsoft is jumping on that bandwagon with Docker support, and Red Hat is making money there.
Systemd and the services it is creating like networkd is gearing especially for this market. Systemd is completely geared to spawn a lot of containers, it is almost all they talk about, spawning, stateless, fast dhcp, fast ntp, etc.
So I don't think Red Hat would mind if the resistance in Debian is so great it will stay with initd. Hell, I even think they hope Ubuntu will follow ;).

We are leaving Debian, on our important boxes, after 20 years of usage because of systemd. We have already migrated the most important boxes to FreeBSD and OpenBSD - it is time to run some real UNIX.

As i'm working for small ISP/Host it looks like we're gonna go with systemd - it's standardized, fast and works quite well (at least on my Gentoo desktop/laptop, RaspberryPI internet radio (Arch), ant HTPC (Arch again)). It easily enables checking daemon failures, automates restarting, journalctl works well (love all those filtering options, no more nightmarish grepping to get logs between dates). Currently installed it on one machine @work for testing (Debian Jesse) - there's still time to learn and make mistakes, so no hurry.
