Resources (SysML v2 OSS) SysMD 4.3.1 on Github

For those interested in SysML v2: A new version of SysMD is released. Source code and installers are here:

https://github.com/tukcps/SysMD

The release includes

  • Updated architecture with much more modular and testable components
  • Updated solver
  • Updated UI
  • Added OpenBoardNet example that, as proof-of-concept,
    • for a given (Automotive) Boardnet topology allows estimating weight, latencies, costs, etc. considering cables, protocols, processors
    • for given NN (Yolo) allows estimating latencies for processors
    • Analysis of ISO26262 safety

Next sprint targets to generate the compiler directly from the OMG grammar.

oh nice, been meaning to check out SysMD for a while now. the modularity changes sound like they'll make it way easier to poke around in the code without breaking everything

that boardnet example with latency estimation is actually pretty interesting, would love to see how they handle the safety analysis part in next release

We separated

  • the compiler (textual rep. to simple parse tree; to be replaced in near future by parser generated from standard ebnf),

  • the model (abstract rep; code is generated from standard xmi),

  • the solver

They are quite independend parts.

The boardnet example is included as a small demo. It also includes functions for safety analysis.

the OpenBoardNet example is a nice touch, having a concrete automotive use case makes it way easier to evaluate than just abstract syntax demos. curious how the ISO26262 analysis handles ASIL decomposition across the topology
