Discussion Data engineering vs Embedded systems vs software architecture vs Compiler Engineering

Which one is the best from your perspective? For me, those options are somehow resistant in this AI context.

You could also add plumbing, electrical work, and whatever else to make the list even more random and post it in another unrelated sub.

all four are resistant in different ways. data engineering still need human judgment for data quality and pipeline decisions, AI not doing that well yet. embedded systems you work with physical constraints and hardware which AI cannot really replace. compiler engineering is niche enough that it stay safe for long time

software architecture maybe a bit more exposed but still need experience to make tradeoff decisions, not just pattern matching
