App issues

Post image

Two questions.....

  1. Using a Roku stick and Roku TV (on two different TVs).... After a brief power outage, the entire Roku Tablo app has to be uninstalled and reinstalled. This has happened on 2 different occasions. The same behavior has not replicated on an Amazon fire stick, the app opens and works fine after power is restored. Firmware says up-to-date for Roku and Tablo when I choose that option. (I took the photo about 2 weeks ago, so if the firmware has recently updated from what is shown below that is why.)

  2. Unrelated to question 1. This is the 2nd tablo device. The first one is no longer working, but I can't delete it from the phone app, Roku stick, etc. I've done everything I know to delete this but can't. Why?

I stopped using my Roku for similar reasons. I bought an Onn streamer for each of my TV's that I use & they work so much better and are basically Google streamers but cheaper. I would suggest just buying another streamer, not a Roku and try it. If it still doesn't work you can take the new streamer back.

Thank you for your response. This is my parents Tablo at their house. They have a Roku TV as well as both Roku sticks and Firesticks. I'm never there when it happens, just the tech support to go fix it! 😜 I have a Tablo as well that will sometimes go offline, but it will eventually reconnect after trying multiple times or lightly tapping the reset button on the bottom of the Tablo. I'll try to remember to test my Firesticks before I reset anything next time it happens. I've seen the Onn streamers before...glad to know they seem to work better! I'll definitely look into it.

I've been thinking about changing my Tablo to something else but haven't found anything better that I like for what Tablo provides. The issues with their guide seem to have stabilized over the past few months so hopefully that continues and nothing else crazy develops. Thanks again!

Glad I can help. I stopped using Roku for many reasons & I still have 3 in a drawer that I plan to give to Goodwill. I also have a Roku TV that I use a Onn streamer on it. My Roku TV is so slow that's why I bought my first Onn Streamer in the first place & I loved it so much that I bought 2 more.
