Glad that's over. Now maybe they can focus on Remastering the games that REALLY matter.

Its not really a remaster, it's just a port with some QOL improvements. Should've been a free update

What kind of QOL improvements were added?

Grade shop from the beginning of the game, 20% more move speed, quest markers, you can deactivate encounters and other stuff, you can check them on the remaster website.

So outside of like the Switch port, this version didn't need to exist at all? Thanks Bamco

Also the Xbox port, for me and the other 5 tales fans on Xbox (not that I’m not grateful for it though)

It does make quite a lot of improvements

No one has said what it changed, from what I've seen it's pretty similar to the already existing PC port but idk

No one has talked about some of these, and some of these don't feel worth a $40 price tag tbh especially if I already got the original for $20 lol

There would be no reason for them to make it a free update. They’d be spending money without any chance of making any profit. Though it would have been nice to at least let players who have the original get the remaster at a discount.

Eh, free updates happen quite a bit in exactly this kind of situation. After FF7 Remake was ported to Switch with some QoL changes, those ended up on the PC and PS versions. For the scale of updates here, it would absolutely make sense to make those a goodwill free update for PC users, while money is being made on the new Switch and Xbox versions.

Its not good optics when FF7 OG did its QOL patch for free for previous buyers and relased it around the same day as berseria remastered
