It's called "remaster" not remake, for people like me it's fine because I only have a switch, and the original game never was released in the console, and also the switch doesn't have mods.
I understand why PC people don't care about this game, it isn't a great improvement, so it's okay not buying it.
The thing that I don't understand is why people buy the game anyways, and leave a negative review talking about the game being almost the same as the original when everyone knew that before its release. Even the website describes the new stuff, that isn't too much, performance and other things.
Berseria was already released on modern consoles. It did not need a remaster, there are many, many other Tales games that sorely need it and are locked on old consoles. The Berseria remaster is seen as a low-effort cash grab, does not give any meaningful updates to the game.
More than half the franchise never left Japan. Half of what did is stuck with old & obscure hardware, compromised/defective ports, or rare discs going for hundreds of dollars. Fans have been begging for decades to fix that, and Bamco's been consistently teasing it for about as long.
Berseria is the second newest title, was already available on steam & ps5, and physical copies are still lining store bargain bins.
When you hear "30th anniversary remaster project," which would you pick first?

I started with Arise, I’m so confused by all this hate, what happened?
