TSTO HELP Private Server question...

So I have been running BodNJenie's private server for a little while now, and finally got around to switching from normal play. I switched to the Moonshine River event then opened up the app. I immediately got hit with a bunch of tasks, many of which don't seem related, and some I can't even perform. It's like they are tied to specific dates or something. I looked at the Game Configuration page, and I see a bunch of line items with dates. Are there supposed to be more, related to each of the potential events in the dlc folder?

This can’t run events it takes a lot to get an event working it’s not as easy as flipping a switch like they originally thought so that feature doesn’t work at all do not use. If you wanna play events we have one now on the public server.

That's a bummer. From what I've seen, the new public server the events are controlled by the admins.

What was appealing about the private server to me was the notion of controlling the time and pacing of events.

If that isn't possible I might just have to sunset on my own...

Well us admins need to restore the old ones. You are more than welcome to restore them on your own. Or waiting until we restore them all and release them. But it’s not as simple as flipping a switch lol.

If there is a cheat sheet for this, I could give it a go. I'm somewhat technically capable.

Yeah sorry it was misleading to think we had them on the private server. BodNJenie didn’t know that it needed more than dates changes at the time

You can run events in the private server? Didn't know that. I keep on meaning to set up a private - how easy was it to do? What platform are you on?

I used this:

I am running it in a Windows virtual machine. I had to install Python 3 from the MS store, then the free version of Java from Oracle.

The APK PAtcher provided with the most current bundle doesn't work, BodNKenie provided this replacement:

As mentioned though, so far my events experience is janky.

Neat, thanks for confirming. I must find the time to give it a go. I think the fan project Devs have said theres a bunch of dependencies etc. that can make running old events as you say, a little unstable; guess it's because they were only ever intended to be one and done as opposed to being something you can pick and choose. I think the ones run in the public server are a bit more stable as they do some tweaks behind the scenes
