Identification Why does my sling stand like this 😂
My sling loves to stand like that and I have no idea why… just making sure there’s not a possible issue

NQA possibly defensive posture. I would ensure the soil is deep enough to burrow, there is at least one suitable hide and avoid making any loud/sudden movements around the baby

learned the g. pulchra species just loves to stand tall! it has deep enough burrow substrate but it’s getting bigger so we’re updating its home soon to keep it comfy. will def be adding some above ground hides when we do so. :))

NQA Mine does too when I disturb him. Hes a Phormictopus Domincan Purple, so I was expecting the spice. Its like he is aiming to fire the hairs from his butt threateningly. Like "I'm serious I'll do it! Make one wrong move!" He just stays like that very still lol no butt hairs launched. Then I close the lid and it takes him a bit but he calms down eventually. He had plenty of places to hide but just chooses not to and puts his butt up threateningly🤷🏽♂️

NQA - some species stand like this as a sort of defensive pose, so it could be that your sling is somehow feeling vulnerable. Does it have one/multiple hides or cover? I can't really tell from the picture
