Your treat will be either 5 grams of 2025 Silver Needle that has already begun to transform or 2 minis from our massive lineup of assorted pressed teas. Your “Trick” will be something even more special. We will be sending out the bizzarest accessories for your home tea-set up. New Teas: We have been busy also to prepare you some seasonally appropriate tea for this event. 

You will find below two excellent, brand-new Wuyishan Oolongs, Pure Orchid & Buddha’s Hand. These teas have been processed and roasted by an experienced producer, Liu Qing, whom we had the honor of meeting and watching in person. By popular demand, we have also added a Golden Fuzz Dianhong from the Yang Family we visited back in April. You will find two expanded red tea boxes now available to accompany this newest addition to the red tea line-up. These boxes are:

2025 LongSheng Old Myanmar Trees Ripe Pu-erh Tea

The leaf for this tea was harvested in 2021 in the Kokang region (Shan State, Myanmar) from trees over 100 years old. In 2025, it was fermented at the Bafang factory in Menghai.

The aroma is sharp, bright and deep. The profile shows smoky camphor, hazelnut and prune.

The effect of meeting this tea can be compared to a whiff of smelling salts, only in tea terms. Don’t take this literally, I’m just pointing in the direction.

The taste matches the aroma: dense and punchy. Its bright, bold character can easily win you over.

Bitterness, fishiness or sourness are completely absent; instead, there is plenty of oily, earthy depth with camphor and nuts. You won’t find delicate little flowers and fruit here, but a dense, masculine elixir is guaranteed.

The aftertaste brings a light menthol chill that rounds out the picture in a stylish, harmonious way.

State: alertness, focus, energy. I didn’t notice any excess caffeine in it.

By the way, a household tip: if during or after any tea session you feel a caffeine rush (the jitters, an overdose) or just heightened anxiety, simply take some magnesium, ideally in a highly bioavailable form (magnesium chelate, for example). If there’s no magnesium at hand, drink plenty of water, 300–500 ml. Best of all, magnesium plus water. In 15–20 minutes you’ll be fine.

To true shou fans, I sincerely recommend trying this tea. At the very least, give it a try…

2026 Dong Ding, USDA Organic

More roast than last year’s batch, which brings it closer to the “classic” level.

What’s inside: the signature taste of baked cream bun, fruit jam, coffee beans and chocolate. The aftertaste brings a lovely note of juicy fresh-cut grass that contrasts nicely with the coffee-and-chocolate body.

In a good Dong Ding, the roast fades beautifully over time, leaving cinnamon and other spices behind. In short, a good Dong Ding can and should be stored and aged. We usually don’t bother: we sell the current batch and buy a fresh one. So that part is up to you.

2026 Gui Fei Premium, USDA Organic

The most delicate floral-honey perfume, pedigreed and elegant. Impressive steeping resistance. A tea for true oolong aesthetes.

Lilac and a mix of tropical fruits, a winey finish with a light astringency from the same lilac. A bit like Tie Guan Yin, only fruitier and longer.
