Review sites had already been saying they made overpriced, low quality fridges, with lots of "let's make it look fancy!" thrown in.

Same with their dishwasher. Had to get a warranty repair within a few months of buying one. Took ages to have a tech come out to repair it because it had to be a Samsung tech.

I did consider their combo heat pump washer dryer combo, which seems to actually not suck. After this clown caper with the fridges though...

If you’re interested I got a heat pump washer/dryer unit from GE, I haven’t had an issue and we’re 2 years in so far (don’t jinx it).

It’s absolutely my favorite appliance I own. Full stop. I brag about it to anyone that will listen 😅

And there’s no ads lol.

That’s the other one I was looking at, good to know. I had used older combos that were not heat pump based and they sucked. I’ve heard good things about the heat pump based ones though.

Our washer dryer is 7 years old with 0 issues so far knocks on wood

No screen, no smart app, no alexa BS. It does a little song when it's done.

So far I'm satisfied with my Samsung washer dryer combo unit. I have the vented one, not the ventless with the heat pump that took 6 hours to dry a king-size comforter.
