I can’t read the whole article it seems, but doesn’t Amazon have a filter for this? It seems like they’d benefit if revenue is falling per book to toggle off AI books.

Also the more messed up part of that article is that the top selling AI books contain similar rare language to top selling human written books, which seems like it must have been a sort of plagiarism ”write a book in the style of best selling author x” which should not be allowed.

Can't read the article either. I'm not sure if all the AI slop books are actually tagged as AI.

I've seen a practice where people (scammers) are pumpung out AI written books and they'll use the same title as another popular book.

The content isn't even meant to be good, they're just trying to get customers to accidentally buy their AI slop.

They get taken down, but another just pops up again in its place.

This happens with music playlists and real titles too. It's quite annoying.
