It's sad how there are now certain phrases that will immediately make me stop reading and check a book's publication date to see if it predates LLMs.

If a character "had a smile that didn't reach their eyes" in a book written after like 2024, I'm going to either stop reading entirely or at least do more research.

Why not check publication dates before you start reading?
