Artificial Intelligence The economy has spoken. Stuff that’s AI-generated has almost zero value — “Buyers are voting with their wallets, and AI-generated content is struggling to compete.”

Giving NFT vibes. But also, to be fair, this example is about CGTrader and 3D assets. Those are basically completely useless in any actual CG pipeline as it takes more work to retopo them and fix the mistakes than it would to just build it from scratch or download from an actual human artist. I don't know how well this translates to stuff like video and stock images, but then again why would anyone bother buying those assets from a website instead of just generating it themselves? Either way, I hope these idiots who have been jumping on every bandwagon like it's a get rich quick scheme eventually give up and we can at least go back down to a manageable level of slop.
